Covering all bases, they are hands-on and are as comfortable navigating Excel spreadsheets as they are a forklift on greenfield event sites. They are team players that contribute to the culture and success of the group. They foster a can-do attitude and a ‘one team - one dream’ philosophy. As part of this team, you will co-ordinate and organise all aspects of events in their entirety, from the client brief, pre-planning, on ground delivery and bump out right through to final de-brief. An understanding of staffing, budgets and logistics is essential. Gema Events covers all aspects of food and beverage, including, but not exclusively, retail bars and food, food truck activation and management, corporate facilities and all aspects of auxiliary catering. Benefits Flexible work environment with the option to work from home Opportunity to travel and work at major events nationwide Engage with a vibrant and passionate team in a supportive culture Career advancement opportunities within a well-established company Task & Responsibilities Full management of event logistics from planning to debriefing Direct oversight of food and beverage operations at events Budget management and cost optimization for each event Staff coordination and leadership, ensuring team alignment with company values and event goals Client relationship management, from initial briefings to post-event follow-up Qualification & Experience Ideally you should have at least three years’ experience as an Event Manager, gained within an event catering environment in food and beverage operations, with direct involvement from conception of event right through to event debrief. You are an effective negotiator and influencer; you are able to build trust and positive relationships with clients and colleagues alike. You can successfully manage competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment and are able to apply good judgement whilst under pressure. You are able to travel around Australia to work in multiple states as required for up to 5 weeks at a time, event size dependent. You are administratively strong and embrace your day with energy and positivity and you are not afraid of hard work. Demonstrate a passion for the food and hospitality industry. This position is open to applicants in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales with offices and management located across Australia.
