The Opportunity

Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Senior Finance Analyst in our Finance (Manufacturing) team based in Port Kembla. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

In this business partnering role, you will provide key financial advice and direction to our leaders to aid in their decision-making and strategy development process. In addition, you will play a pivotal role in driving process improvement and automation initiatives which will deliver value added services and improved decision-making capability.

What Will You Do?

Working with a supportive team, partnering with a variety of cross functional stakeholders and leaders, you will:

• manage the delivery of accurate & reliable financial reporting and analysis to our key business representatives
• plan and oversee forecast and budgeting processes, including review and detailed analysis of the outcomes/results, to integrate, assess and align initiatives with the business strategy
• review and contribute financial direction capital investment business cases and large-scale projects
• monitor and evaluate business financial performance and identify and track agreed improvement targets.
• pro-actively drive transformation and process improvement through leveraging new technology, whilst continuing to deliver value

Our Australian Manufacturing business is looking for a Senior Energy and Carbon Specialist in our Energy and Carbon team based in Port Kembla or Mascot. Our steel manufacturing facilities provide a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of how we manage emissions and utilise energy as we transition into new technologies. Being seen as a subject matter expert, you’ll be providing guidance on future energy and carbon opportunities to facilitate alignment with our vision for the future.   

What Will You Do?

In this critical role with profile to senior leaders and decision makers, your insights and recommendations will have direct impact on operational and sustainability strategies.  You will be:

• providing strategic review, interpretation and synthesis of existing and emerging carbon and energy policy, legislation and requirements with a lens on key relevance to BlueScope’s manufacturing operations
• undertaking modelling and data analysis to deliver valuable insights, advancing our climate action and decarbonisation targets
• leading and supporting the strategy development and ongoing management of our carbon offset portfolio within our Australian business
• developing your internal networks– enhancing the quality of your insights and the depth of your influence

Perhaps you’ve spent time in industry and gained exposure to energy and carbon, or maybe you are someone passionate about leveraging your expertise in support of energy efficient manufacturing or exploration of new technologies? Either way, you’ll have an enthusiasm for the technical aspects of your work and an analytical approach.  As a fierce advocate for BlueScope. you’ll be heavily invested in our success.  You’ll bring:

• tertiary/post graduate qualifications in engineering, commerce/economics, science, or other relevant disciplines

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

EXECUTION

• Management of Lumina (media plan system), input buys and actualisations.
• Owning the PO tracker, helping to load into BMD, invoice and account queries etc.
• Overflow work for search, social and programmatic – opportunity to learn in these areas from local experts.
• Monthly reporting assistance to the digital managers – bridge the gap between PGD (offshore resource) and managers.
• Assistance to campaign implementation across digital and offline channels.
• Admin assistance on exciting digital content partnerships with key partners such as Mamamia, News.com.au and Spotify.
• Administrating ‘The Observatory’ – assisting in the uploading of documents and ensuring compliance for research etc.
• Monthly reporting and dashboard assistance to deliver key learning to client brand teams.

TEAM & COMMUNICATION

• Developing strong working relationships with:
• Clients - Learn how to build strong relationships with the Haleon Digital team and ensure there is an effective working relationship between client and agency.
• Digital Activation Team - Work with the specialists within the Digital Activation Team (eCommerce, Programmatic, Social & Search) to ensure high quality output.
• Account Service Team - Build strong relationships with the Account Service Team to ensure that workflow between teams is effective and collaborative + Assist in all client communications and foster strong relationships with Haleon.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Preferably a degree or higher education qualifications.

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in a media buying and/or media planning role at an agency across digital and/or offline channels .

• Someone who is keen to learn and grow their knowledge both in the digital/offline space and in the client servicing department.
