We’re seeking freelance editors to collaborate with us creating a diverse range of content.

You will use your language skills to create texts covering a wide range of topics. Following our style guide and other quality guidelines, you will create and check responses that will form the “voice” of future AI. You will create and edit original, helpful, honest, and harmless responses; fact check existing responses; bring submitted texts up to our standards; and work directly with Team Leads to help provide feedback to writers and other participants to ensure they can regularly produce high-quality work.

• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in writing and editing text.
• A degree in communications, linguistics, literature, journalism, or similar.
• Native level of English.
• Willingness to learn new methods, ability to switch between projects and topics quickly and sometimes work with challenging, complex guidelines.
• A laptop, internet connection, availability, and enthusiasm to take on new challenges.

About SmartPlay 

SmartPlay Early Learners in Caboolture provides quality care and Christian education in a Long Day Care environment. The services provided include: 3 Year Old Program; 4 Year Old Kinder Program; Before & After School Care; and Vacation Care Program. 

About the role 

If you're keen to inspire and enhance the holistic development of each individual child, build strong relationships with families and you’re also a passionate educator, then you're invited to consider this exciting opportunity. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the inclusion support program for play-based, child-directed education as part of SmartPlay Early Learners. Educators will provide a safe, Christian educational environment for the children to grow and to develop an enriched Early Years curriculum. 

This permanent part-time position up to 75 hours per fortnight, open to negotiable, with immediate start.

About you

• You have a minimum of Certificate III in Early Childhood or 50% completed or equivalent (a Diploma with experience is preferred).
• You have at least 1 year’s experience in a lead role in a centre.
• You possess excellent communication, organisational and time management skills. 
• You hold current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, CPR and Asthma certification. 
• You have a current paid Working with Children’s Check. 
• You have experience and knowledge of NQF, NQS and the EYLF. 
• You’re confident in the use of technology. 
• You’re highly motivated. 
• You have a servant heart and vibrant Christian faith.
