Pay Range
$125,000 – $137,000 per year.
This position is responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operation of the Broome Hub. Through management of a high-performance workforce, the position is to ensure delivery of a quality, person-centred service model that aligns to individual support plans, fosters best practice in service delivery while also managing business, financial and risk requirements.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Support participants by promoting quality delivery of service through consistent good practice.
- Ensure that workers understand and demonstrate good practice based on NDIS principles, as described in NDIS Framework.
- Engage with and learn from people with lived experience as colleagues, experts and advisers.
- Support and reinforce a culture that is interested in, responsive to and supportive of diversity and inclusion.
- Communicate expectations to direct reports about their role, how they should conduct themselves and why.
- Create and promote opportunities for direct reports to work collaboratively with others in the participant’s support team, other services and with members of the participant’s informal support network.

Selection Criteria:
Essential
Tertiary qualifications in Disability Services, Community Services or related field or relevant work experience.

knowledge of the National Standards for Disability Services, NDIS Code of Conduct and NDIS Practice Standards and their application in the delivery of high quality person and family centred supports for people with disabilities.

We're passionate about providing exceptional customer service and presently seeking to expand our Fine-Dining team within our Wickens at the Royal Mail restaurant.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Both casual and full-time positions available.
We're looking for individuals who demonstrate a passion for food, wine and local produce and seek to provide personable service to every guest. Duties will include:

Learning the menu

Fine Dining Wait Person must be experts on our restaurant’s offerings. Whether it be explaining the ingredients, preparation techniques, daily specials or additional courses, or the available substitutions. They also may offer suggestions to enhance the experience, such as which wine pairs well with a given entrée.
Managing orders

Fine Dining Waitpersons take food and beverage orders from customers, deliver written requests to the kitchen for preparation, carry items to the table in the proper order, help as needed with the removal of finished plates, refill drinks and collect payment when the experience is complete.
Providing customer service

Whether a food item isn’t up to satisfaction, a guest drops their fork and needs another one or the air conditioning is too cold, Fine Dining Waitpersons rectify the problem
Following procedures

Fine Dining Waitpersons follow restaurant guidelines in order to keep operations flowing and service consistently. They are aware of procedures and act accordingly. They also pay close attention to safety measures so that food does not inadvertently become contaminated or someone gets burned by a hot plate.

Want more than a job? We're looking for a motivated, skilled, and enthusiastic  Chef de Partie  to join us and grow within our award-winning team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Joining Executive Chef Robin Wickens and a passionate kitchen team, this unique and highly sought-after opportunity will see you work in a fast-paced environment with a menu focused on sustainable and seasonal produce. 

Our kitchen is driven by the philosophy if we can't grow it we don't use it. This opportunity will see you harvest daily from our 1.2ha kitchen garden and develop your understanding of seasonal produce. 

You will commence working a fortnightly roster in Parker St Project (Wednesday - Saturday) with  3-day weekends  (Sunday - Tuesday).

You will take responsibility and ownership of your assigned kitchen section, ensuring food is prepared according to standard recipes, and supervise and train other kitchen staff as well as order and manage stock.

REQUIREMENTS


Commercial Cookery Certification or equivalent work experience
Driver's licence & reliable vehicle

REMUNERATION

Salary package circa $70,000 (AUD) p.a. depending on skills and experience.

REMUNERATION

The candidate will operate forklifts to move bulk materials, containers, crates, palletised goods and cartons in a pack shed.
Daily pre-start checklist must be completed and the candidate must be able to monitor wear and tear, and also be able to perform servicing and minor repairs to a forklift
A High Risk Work license is required for the position
At least 1 year work experience as a forklift driver is required
