This a full-time permanent position based in the Shepparton area. Wages will be paid at an hourly rate totalling a minimum of $70,000 per annum. Operating hours of the facility are from 6.00 am until 8.00pm and your shift will fall within this window. You will be rostered on for a minimum of 42 hours/week. Days of work are Monday to Friday, and some Saturdays. You will be working in a fruit packing shed environment where food safety and WHS are a priority.
This role is responsible for assessing and sorting fruit produce according to size, colour, and grade, ensuring conformity of the produce when packing. Performing record keeping duties, assisting in accurately monitoring movement of produce, maintaining relevant documentation and assessment findings.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:
• At least 1 year of work experience on an apple packing line
• Ability to work flexible hours with varying rosters
• Physical capacity to spend full work days standing and lifting full boxes of fruit (up to 18 kg)
• Honest and reliable
• Work rights within Australia
• Ability to adhere to company QA and OH&S requirements
• Positive attitude and aptitude to learn and apply new processes
• Excellent attention to detail and quality focussed
• Communicates clearly and respectfully
• Co-operates with others, shares relevant information and seeks information from others as required
• Works effectively in a team environment
• Adapts behaviour in response to constructive feedback
• Accepts changes in job role in a positive manner
Desirable qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school
• Certificate III or above in Supply Chain Operations, Food Processing or HACCP Certification
