As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we are now looking to appoint a talented National Key Account Manager to join our team here in Victoria.

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, Australia, the focus of your role will be the development of long-term customer relationships with assigned customers, with the aim to sustainably improve share of wallet growth (measured by revenue, EBITA targets).

This will be achieved by implementing best in class account management standards and delivery of supply chain logistics solutions and services to customers.

This role has a strong focus on delivering value added solutions in addition to maintaining full warehouse utilisation and promoting Lineage as an Integrated Solution provider (including domestic transportation). The role acts as Voice of Customer in Lineage and is designed to link Customer requirements with Lineage service offerings. Close coordination with internal parties is key to success.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Being the Voice of Customer at Lineage

• Implementation and maintenance of account management standards including ADP’s, regular customer meeting cadence, KPI reporting, Continuous Improvement initiatives.

• Revenue and EBITA targets as agreed, including the focus on cross-selling / share of wallet growth.

• Improvements in NPS YoY

• Identification and implementation of ESG focused initiatives for assigned accounts.

• Accurate and timely use of Lineage CRM systems

• Develop self to meet both career and organisational goals, apply diverse skills and perspective to achieve common goals (through 1:1’s and development discussions)

• Follow practices and procedures regarding Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), HACCP and Approved Arrangement guidelines whilst also ensuring Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance.

Key skills and experience should ideally include:

Essential

• Extensive experience in account management or a similar role (Supply Chain industry experience is preferable)

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

• Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools

Preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Active listening and empathy abilities

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, WMS, TMS)

• Metrics and reporting experience, linked to Continuous Improvement drive

JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Development Manager/Sales Executive will be responsible for the sales and handover of new access equipment, developing service and PMP contracts whilst growing market share for new machines and ground support.

The main focus of the Business Development Representative is to be responsible for the day to day management of the sales and customer support for their given region by providing excellent customer service to both new and existing customers and meeting and exceeding all sales budgets and set KPI’s.

The position encompasses both new business development as well as customer account management across all aspects of the JLG business; New Machine Sales & Ground Support which includes Used Equipment Sales, Major Inspections, General Service and Spare Parts.  The ability to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally are essential to this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for sales to identify customer base or as directed by SSO(Both existing clients and cold calls).

• Ensure that the number of service contracts are increased in a profitable manner.

• Continue to build positive work relationships with targeted customer base.

• Responsible for the recording of all customer contact in the customer relations system and ensuring accurate and timely information is maintained.

• Responsible for managing the hand over process on unit deliveries.

• Maintain call cycle for visiting and contacting clients.

• Assist with the development and delivery of marketing campaigns into the market.

• Manage the day to day sales activities and account management of the nominated region.

• Ensure all sales targets and KPI’s are achieved.

• Ensure all existing and new customers are satisfied and customer service levels are maintained to an excellent standard.

• Developing and maintaining a customer call cycle including the management of the customer order back log and weekly sales updates.

• Ensure all sales administration, systems & processes are kept up to date and in order.

• Provide accurate on time reporting on forecasts and sales activity.

• Preparation of quotations and follow up.

• Promote and generate leads and sales conversions in all aspects of the business including but not limited to; new machines, used machines, major inspections, service contracts & spare parts.

• Network with customers establishing and evaluating any existing and/or forecasted needs.

• Attend customer and industry events representing JLG Industries including but not limited to; customer social events, openings, EWPA / HRIA meetings.

• General ad-hoc duties as required at branch or national level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out inspections, servicing and repairs of equipment with a focus on elevating work platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers. May work with other types of equipment on occasion such as hydraulic hoses, small diesel engines, etc
• When attending to customer’s sites make every effort to repair machines on site limiting the need to transport the machines off site
• Be available to travel including overnight accommodation when requested
• Responsible for completing all appropriate paperwork and inspection forms required by JLG policy, ANZ Standards and customer and/or site requirements in a timely manner
• Responsible for notifying the Field Service Coordinator if repairs or services can’t be completed during visit and the reason why, where required providing information for the ability to provide the customer a quote
• Providing a superior level of customer service
• Liaising with technical support including the interpretation of manuals where required
• Conduct van audits and stock takes
• General administrative duties relevant to the role including entering accurate job notes
• Generating sales and service leads where possible and collaborating with the team
• Maintain personal retail labour utilization rates as per target
• As a Field Service Technician you are also required to carry out general duties from time to time as requested by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Previous experience in a similar role – experience with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical advantageous
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
• Ability to establish rapport with internal and external customers
• Drivers licence
• Proficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy including the ability to write job notes, read safety information, machine manuals and street signs and understand basic numeracy such as time, parts numbers and quantities
• Ability to travel 25%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Trade qualification in elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicle, diesel, automotive, auto  electrical or related field
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
• Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements are constantly changing.
• Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications that allow for transferrable skills to adequately use our Baseplan system and email
