Our story still has many pages to be written and we are now seeking a Applications Technologist to be an integral part of the R&D team driving business growth through the execution of both reactive and proactive product development.

YOUR ROLE

Independently selects and recommends suitable solutions that compliments the client’s project briefs. Ensuring conformance with legalities, the client’s budget, performance & stability requirements of the flavours profile and provide suggestions or improvements for the most common applications.

Execute daily brief-related tasks including flavour selection, product evaluation and application development.
Lead evaluations of flavours in food applications for briefs, research projects and portfolio evaluations.
Serve as technical expert and advisor to flavour creations team, marketing, sales, and customers for various applications.
Develop and improve finished product formulations using knowledge of industry standards, country specific and customer requirements.
Established knowledge of the raw materials in the recipe, their function & chemical interaction, success parameters and processes in order to provide a consistent outcome in the finished product; and production processes that may influence the end product.
Managing and prioritising projects to ensure they are delivered on time or earlier.
Develops technical network within Essential Asia to collaborate and expand knowledge of portfolio and solutions to finished products.
Visit clients and prepare content for marketing to provide the visual presentation component and present the technical information of products to the client.
Establish and maintain customer relationships and have a sound understanding of the client’s brand and that of their competitors.

YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

To be a complimentary fit for this role you will have:

Above 6 years of experience in a food applications lab or related area.
Understanding of food applications, ingredients, and processes with practical experience in customers’ food manufacturing environment
Track record of time management and project management skills and the ability to successfully lead customer projects
Ability to effectively participate in customer projects including customer visits
Ability to translate market trends into innovative products for our clients.
Experienced knowledge of sports nutrition, non-alcoholic beverage, dairy, bakery, ice cream and confectionery is a must.
Think outside the box and has an approach of a relentless solutions-focused mindset
Proven skills in product development and flavour applications.
Passionate about food, trends and insights.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn and be flexible.

Our Client: Operating in various offices around Sydney, our client has firmly established a foothold on the industry through their long-lasting expertise in property development and management.
The Role: Reporting to an experienced, supportive Finance Manager and sitting within a high-performing team, this role suits a commercial candidate with experience in property and/or funds as well as a business services first mover with similar exposure!
Being part of this team, you will be looking after a number of funds, and will be responsible for a combination of financial and management accounting duties including, but not limited to:
-  Month-end accounting duties
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting
- Full-function property accounting
- Preparation of half-year/annual papers for reporting purposes
- Preparation of property income budgets and forecasts and monitoring
- Cashflow forecasting and maintenance of inter-company loan reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly BAS and tax returns
