Your day will include:

• Domestic Assistance: Cleaning the home of older people so they have a safe and beautiful place to live
• Helping our customers with meal preparation and shopping 
• Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities
• Personal care including getting clients ready, showered and dressed for the day, medication management, assisting with mobility and therapy goals
• Providing respite and emotional support
• Social support and company to appointments
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia

What do we look for in a Care Worker? 

• You care about assisting our aged community so they can live independently at home for longer. 
• You have a current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
• You don’t sweat the small stuff; sometimes your customer will be having a bad day or traffic delays you. You know not to take this personally and to shake it off before your next customer.
• You're available to work at least 3 days - Monday - Friday. No night or weekend work here.
• You're comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help.

Community Support Worker – In Home Aged Care - Bankstown area 

• Generous pay increases! $29.71 - $31.04  per hour + Super

The Position:

We are currently recruiting passionate and caring individuals who are looking to make a difference in our Aged Care clients lives by assisting them to live at home independently for as long as possible.

Previous Experience in Community Support Work would be highly regarded but if you are motivated to learn and interested in working in Aged Care we will provide all the training you need to be successful in the role!

You will be travelling in the wider South West Sydney Area ( Bankstown- Chullora- Cabramatta - Campbelltown) area & will need to have some availability during weekdays Monday to Friday. (Minimum 3 days per week) )

Provide quality personalised care to our valued aged care clients in their own homes through services such as:

• General household tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, ironing, cleaning bathroom & kitchen, changing beds, hanging up washing, etc
• Personal care such as showering, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Transport to appointments and shopping, etc
• Meal preparation
• Social Support
• Respite
