We are looking for the best Senior Service Desk Engineer who is looking for ad hoc and contract opportunities. This opportunity would be perfect for an IT specialist who is currently studying or returning from long term leave and is seeking part time work or someone running their own small IT business seeking additional work.

Role

In this role you will:

• Provide ad hoc and contract onsite desktop and IT infrastructure support to our customers across Sydney
• Be involved in support and project work to deploy solutions
• Experience opportunities to install and configure Servers, Networking and other IT equipment
• Be exposed to account management, VOIP, technical presales, and other areas
• Work across technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall, backup systems and software

• Solid knowledge of Microsoft AD, Exchange, Azure and Office 365 environments coupled with your generalist networking skills
• Excellent written and spoken English, with a great phone manner.
• Great attention to detail and time management skills.
• Strong experience working with inside IT
• Must have vehicle and full drivers license. (Mandatory)

• Help in building the measurement strategy for the Global Technical Support organization
• Interact with GTS leadership to determine current and future needs vs existing tools and facilities
• Work with various internal teams on delivery of analytical and operational tools for GTS
• Update and maintain tool and metric inventory and definitions
• Create, deliver and analyze key metrics using dashboards and QBR reporting
• Create or improve and implement analytics reporting for customer support
• Develop actionable insights from analysis to make recommendations on key business strategies.
• Participate in creating advanced analytical models to support Global Support organization and Engineering initiatives
• Provide models and analysis to help identify areas of opportunities to work with Business Units
• Learn and become and SME using our internal analytics tool (Performance Analytics)

To perform day-to-day tasks, being able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of our customer’s expectations and execute them with an appropriate sense of urgency, attitude, commitment, and professionalism. You are required to be our customer’s ‘go-to’ person for all their freight forwarding needs.

In addition to this, to perform tasks as requested, assisting in general customer service duties both internally and externally while applying the company standards and processes.

About the Role

As a Senior Service Desk Agent, you'll look after Tier 2 resolutions being a point of contact to our biggest clients. No two days will be the same as you’ll be constantly thinking outside of the box to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring the most efficient and effective customer service, possible!
As part of the Managed Services team, you’ll provide high quality, efficient support to our clients and their customers through responding to telephone calls, emails and alert monitoring. Following ITIL processes, you’ll identify, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests.

Operating Hours
The operational hours for the Service Desk are Monday to Sunday 6am to 8:30pm, to be successful for a Full-Time role you will need to have full availability to work across these hours on a rotating roster.
