We are looking for an experienced and influential industry leader as Food & Beverage Manager to join Novotel Surfers Paradise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing operational Food and Beverage teams. Reporting to our General Manager, you will collaborate with the Leadership Team to deliver successes for the Hotel with particular focus on the Food & Beverage departments.

Your ability to effectively collaborate with the team, your entrepreneurial approach, your passion of food and beverage and guest experience, and your ability to generate revenue will all play a significant part in how successful you will be in this position.

Key responsibilities:

• Giving your departments strategic direction, monitoring performance, and managing teams well.
• Ensuring the daily operations of food and beverage outlets, conferences, and events run smoothly, profitably, and efficiently.
• Providing direction and assistance to the food and beverage and operational kitchen teams.
• Delivering on our Accor Live Limitless loyalty promise
• Maintaining operational systems, promoting best practise processes and procedures, as well as finding new and creative methods to conduct business.
• Ability to coach, develop and influence our leadership team to enhance the overall food and beverage profitability and performance
• Providing direction and support to align departmental goals with overall Hotel strategies
• Delivering on the Novotel brand promise in all interactions
• Work with our leadership team to develop strategies and execute effectively across multiple operational departments

Job Description
Take your Property Management skills to the next level, managing a unique remotely located portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in the delivery of one of Australia’s largest property management contracts. The portfolio of properties is for a single client, an Australian Mining giant!

As part of the regionally based Property Management team, you are guided in contract delivery, organisational processes, and compliance by your Housing Manager. Our regionally based teams are constantly supported by a Perth based team including General Manager, Trust Account Manager and Property Compliance Manager.  You will bring your gun Property Management skills and confidence to the role, ensuring best practice and compliance is adhered to through the adoption of your industry knowledge and experience. You will learn about the unique nature of a single sophisticated client portfolio and integrated facility management contract.

Role’s specifics:

All typical property management duties and responsibilities. Such as but not limited to:

• Manage housing applications, assessments, and reviews
• Leasing, ingoing, and vacating tenancy procedures
• Routine inspections and PCR’s
• Property maintenance management
• Bonds and tenant damage cost recovery
• No trust accounting, no end of month, and no weekend home opens.

Who are we looking for?   
To be successful in this role you will ideally have at least 3 years’ experience working in Residential Property Management. You will hold DMIRS Certificate of Registration as a Property Manager or Real Estate and Business Sales Representative registration.   
You will have experience managing your own work schedule, managing competing priorities and working under pressure. You pride yourself on attention to detail, ensuring documents are completed accurately, processes are followed, and accurate client, lease property and tenant records are kept. Advanced computing skills, with the ability to learn new property systems is important to hit the ground running.

Qualifications

To be successful, you’ll need:    

• Experience working in Residential Property Management or agency management.
• Western Australia Property Managers Registration.

• Reliability improvement of rotating and other mechanically driven equipment and electrical assets.
• Delivery of technical support, including vendor liaison, to minimise the impact of equipment downtime.
• Liaise with key Operations stakeholders to provide Engineering support to mitigate risks to the delivery of the business plan.
• Ensure asset-related failures are investigated and learnings shared and implemented.
