NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort, will become your new home-away-from-home, nestled between the bush and the absolute beachfront. Ocean Beach Holiday Resort is located just 90 minutes North of Sydney but is a world away, on the picturesque Central Coast at Umina Beach.
Our extensive Resort offers a large range of camp/caravan sites and diverse accommodation options, from beachfront townhouses, to safari tents and our stylish glamtainers! Nestled right on the beach we offer a multitude of facilities for the young and young at heart; resort style pools, a splash park, year rounds kids club including the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, tennis and an onsite café. This is a pet friendly park.
What you will do:
Reporting to the Regional Director Operations, you will operate a profitable and sustainable business, maximising a return on capital investment.
You will consider yourself a confident and absolute 'all round' resort leader, as this varied role will see you, build and maintain successful relationships and continue driving a positive culture amongst the team to enhance guests and key stakeholder relationships. You will provide a versatile approach in leadership and support and in all areas of park operations, from group bookings, to daily strategic and operational leadership.
What You’ll do
- Oversee and take accountability for the smooth running of the Resorts day to day operations
- Ensure an amazing, guest experience, immaculate product and continue to drive the customer journey
- Maintain appropriate levels of employees in all areas of the Resorts operations and ensure the Resort is structured effectively in order to exceed guest service
- Oversee asset management focusing on the protection and preventive maintenance of key assets and buildings
- Manage financial budgets in respect to incremental revenue targets and labour and operating costs and monthly re-forecasts
- Capital works project management
- Establish, monitor and manage key business performance indicators
- Monitor and maintain a high standard of safety of all guests, visitors and employees
- Manage and develop employees of all levels
What you will bring:
- Previously managed or held an extensive senior role in a holiday park, resort, hotel, or similar tourism related role
- Proven experience in leading successful teams through building and maintaining a positive culture
- Previous engagement with first nations communities and stakeholders
- You will have experienced working in an environment where initiative, organisational and advance planning skills are essential
- Previous oversight in managing properties with food concepts, or events will be highly regarded
- You will demonstrate a flexible attitude to work and the passion to work as part of an operational leadership team who are hands on, confident and have a passion for delivering outstanding guest relations
- You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have proven evidence of successful financial and strategic management and ability
- You walk the talk and can communicate to and manage teams at all levels.
