Minor Hotels is seeking a talented and experienced PR & Communications Manager for a 12-month maternity leave coverage role, based in the Brisbane CBD and commencing in February 2025.

Key Responsibilities Include: 

• Develop and execute strategic multi-channel communication strategies to support business goals and enhance brand awareness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers, securing media coverage through proactive collaboration with the PR agency. 
• Create and implement crisis communication plans, acting as the point of contact to ensure consistent, accurate messaging during crises. 
• Oversee partnerships with influencers to amplify brand messaging, managing campaign execution and measuring ROI. 
• Develop compelling press materials, review public statements for alignment with brand voice, and manage the Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites LinkedIn page. 
• Identify and lead participation in industry awards, coordinating submissions to enhance brand credibility and visibility. 
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and leadership, positioning company spokespeople as thought leaders on industry topics. 
• Organise and manage media events, product launches, and other PR-related activities to strengthen brand visibility. 
• Set KPIs for PR initiatives, analyse results, and provide performance reports to showcase impact and ROI. 
• Oversee the communications budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and alignment with strategic goals.

As our Digital Media Coordinator, you will serve as the driving force behind the Digital Media team, playing a crucial role in our hybrid model that integrates both in-house initiatives and agency collaboration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and implement innovative strategies that resonate with our target audiences. Your day-to-day...

• Work closely within the Digital Media team to diligently setup and execute key media campaigns across the year.
• Liaise with various publishers on a regular basis to ensure campaign requirements are met and delivered accordingly. 
• Collaborate with Brand & Digital leads to execute material instructions ensuring full compliance at all times with Responsible Gambling messaging and other state related requirement.
• Analyse and report on various Digital Marketing campaigns across several metrics and KPI’s.
• Collaborate with our Brand and Design team to create key marketing materials that best fit channel implementation

What you’ll bring...

• Prior experience within a Marketing setting (Digital and/or Agency) is desired but not necessary.
• Experience using Google’s Marketing Platform - CM360 & DV360 specifically, knowledgeable in campaign setup, creative trafficking and reporting.
• Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Contribute to and support delivery of the Australia and New Zealand and Asia-Pacific marketing and business development plan, working with directors, sector specialists, external suppliers and business generation and marketing teams.
• Support the identification of key market trends, and support the translation of these into market reports, campaigns and initiatives that enable us to engage the market.

The Director of Corporate Communications reports to the Head of the function in the Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific cluster. The role is responsible to develop and execute compelling and strategic communications campaigns, that help our stakeholders (internal and external) to understand the value Visa can bring, and advance delivery of our business goals.

This role:

• Will develop and deliver two-to-three broad corporate communication campaigns over the course of the year – each campaign built around a connected set of moments and with delivery of the associated tactics:
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to conceive and create the outputs that deliver engagement with key audiences
  • Seeking out the stories and opportunities for thought leadership that can make the campaign stand out from the status quo
  • Creating moments that connect with Visa’s clients, employees and industry stakeholders
• Work with colleagues in the Comms team to manage day-to-day media relations and issue management
• Work with the Head of the function in market to set the internal communications strategy and the regular touchpoints to deliver it, including monthly town halls, leadership and strategy forums and other culture-driving activity.
