Minor Hotels is seeking a talented and experienced PR & Communications Manager for a 12-month maternity leave coverage role, based in the Brisbane CBD and commencing in February 2025. 

This national position offers the chance to shape the public image of a leading hospitality group with over 65 properties across Australia and New Zealand—and growing. You will play a critical role in driving public relations initiatives that effectively communicate our brand and reputation to external audiences. 

In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and a PR agency to craft compelling narratives, elevate brand visibility, and manage strategic media relations. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, you’ll be at the forefront of initiatives that align with company objectives, including influencer partnerships, media engagement, and crisis communications. 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

• Develop and execute strategic multi-channel communication strategies to support business goals and enhance brand awareness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers, securing media coverage through proactive collaboration with the PR agency. 
• Create and implement crisis communication plans, acting as the point of contact to ensure consistent, accurate messaging during crises. 
• Oversee partnerships with influencers to amplify brand messaging, managing campaign execution and measuring ROI. 
• Develop compelling press materials, review public statements for alignment with brand voice, and manage the Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites LinkedIn page. 
• Identify and lead participation in industry awards, coordinating submissions to enhance brand credibility and visibility. 
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and leadership, positioning company spokespeople as thought leaders on industry topics. 
• Organise and manage media events, product launches, and other PR-related activities to strengthen brand visibility. 
• Set KPIs for PR initiatives, analyse results, and provide performance reports to showcase impact and ROI. 
• Oversee the communications budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and alignment with strategic goals.

This role reports to the Director, Visa Consumer Marketing and Partnerships AUNZSP and will be a key member of the Visa Marketing Team. Supporting the Senior Director and Director Consumer Marketing and Partnerships, the Senior Media Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimising programmatic and social B2C campaigns across that drive growth for our Visa brand. 

This role will support the expansion of our Media Advisory and Execution capability within our Marketing Services function through selling and executing engagements that help Visa’s clients (Issuers, Merchants, Acquirers, Fintechs) strengthen their business.  

What a Senior Media Manager does at Visa:

• End-to-end campaign management. Plan and implement client campaigns across demand-side platforms (DSPs) such as Google Display & Video 360, The Trade Desk, as well as Google ads that are aligned with client’s campaign brief and KPIs.
• Manage & optimise budgets, establish bidding strategies, and targeting tactics to achieve campaign objectives while maintaining efficiency. The specialist should also be able to recommend platforms for consideration, and set target bids.
• Ensure creative assets provided are compliant with platform guidelines and best practices.
• Vendor management and negotiation (ie SSPs, ad exchanges, data providers) for private exchanges (PMP) programmatic guaranteed (PG)
• Create insightful and actionable reports to increase the effectiveness of client campaigns
• Work closely with Media Agency to ensure successful tracking and delivery of holistic campaigns (with Agency trafficking team).
• Set up in-housing workflows and templates from scratch. Ie work with vendors to set up platforms, establish ad ops process and work logs, automate media plans, reports and establishing timelines
• Contributes to the development of marketing services proposals and the presentation of these to clients
• Contribute to client sell in proposals, presentations and media implementational responses. 
• Partners with the Director, Marketing BPO for the pipeline management, operating expenses and revenue associated with client marketing media projects.

You will be an integral member of the team, responsible for implemented integrated communication and content creator campaigns across a variety of traditional and new media platforms. This role will develop direct relationships with press and content creators, and work with support agencies where relevant, to deliver paid and earned activities that support marketing pulse points for Ubisoft games.

Utilizing a “player-first” mentality, the Communication & Content Creator Manager will work with cross-functional teams to create unique engagement opportunities and activations in the ANZ territory.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Partner with the Head of Communications & Content Creators to implement tailored, effective, and innovative communications and creator campaigns
• Develop and maintain Ubisoft’s relationships with key local press and content creators
• Execute content creator campaigns for allocated titles that deliver strong ROI
• Support deployment of the Company Creators Program: applications vetting, local promotion, business requests management, etc.
• Collaborate closely with Ubisoft global and regional teams to share local knowledge and coordinate campaigns
• Manage the co-ordination of local press and creator events
• Collaborate with internal and cross functional stakeholders worldwide
• Ensure local reports are finalised for local and global counterparts by the relevant deadline

This position helps develop and implement multi-channel mandatory communications (cover letters, policy documentation, forms and policy schedules) to keep customers informed about their policy details throughout their lifecycle. The role works with the Customer Correspondence team and business stakeholders (Product, Legal, Compliance etc) to write and implement clear and concise mandatory communications and collateral, ensuring TAL meets our regulatory and compliance requirements.
