Key Responsibilities:

• Implement group wide business integrity compliance framework, identify areas for continuous improvement and enhancement of strategies, programs, systems and processes
• Serve as the primary contact of business integrity for the Senior Leadership Team and provide leadership for the group business integrity team

OceanaGold has a new role for an experienced Sustainability Advisor to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. This is a key role for our Sustainability team and will support the coordination in developing, implementing, and monitoring company sustainability projects and activities to deliver on organisational sustainability strategy, governance, assurance, reporting and disclosure requirements.

Working closely with the Sustainability Manager, this role will provide support to the Sustainability Centre Function Leads in ensuring OceanaGold’s alignment with internal and external environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, and advising on existing and emerging sustainability and ESG regulatory requirements. Therefore, this role will best suit a motivated and collaborative operator, with a genuine interest in sustainability and a sound knowledge in sustainability-related principles, standards, and frameworks. You will: 

• Support the delivery of the Company’s annual corporate sustainability and ESG disclosures including delivery of the Company’s annual Sustainability Reporting Suite, S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, Carbon Disclosure Project, UN Global Compact Communications on Progress, Responsible Gold Mining Principles, Conflict Free Gold Mining Standards disclosures.
• Prepare materials and coordinate sustainability content reviews and approvals with the relevant SME’s for internal and external reporting of the Company’s sustainability information, including responses to ESG benchmark surveys and investor queries.
• Build, maintain, analyse, and communicate accurate sustainability registers, performance dashboards and reporting systems to support internal decision making and reporting.
• Lead and maintain the Company’s Sustainability External Commitments and Actions register, including conducting quarterly progress checks and updates to the register with the accountable action owners.
• Lead the planning and execution of sustainability projects, initiatives, and activities, such as ESG and peer benchmarking, investor benchmarking and sustainability risks and opportunities mapping.
• Collaborate with the Sustainability Manager to identify, collect, analyse, and report on sustainability data, metrics, risks and targets to track the Company’s performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Support the Sustainability Centre Function Leads in various elements of the design, execution, and measurement of the Company’s sustainability strategy and other programs of work such as biodiversity, human rights, modern slavery and health and wellbeing.

The primary function of this role is to provide geotechnical engineering inputs towards implementing effective geotechnical controls in operational areas and leading geotechnical related internal studies.

Travel requirements: visit each mine site at least once a year (Haile, Didipio, Macraes and Waihi) 

Some Key Accountabilities:

• Provide geotechnical and hydrogeological governance and specialist technical support to operational and project teams

Reporting to the Group Manager, Reward and Performance, the role supports the implementation and execution of salary programs and policies involving research, analyses and development of modifications to compensation and benefits programs to meet organisation objectives and needs. Support the delivery of the annual review; provide relevant payroll, market pay, and employee engagement analyses and insights.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Provide guidance in designing and administering compensation and benefits programs with periodic review and recommendation.
• Act as subject matter expert on performance appraisal processes, and provides guidance on employee recognition and rewards.
• Act as subject matter expert on salary benchmarking and analysis.
• Collaborate with market data suppliers such as Aon and Mercer to gather and analyze industry-specific compensation and performance data. Ensure Company participation in the periodic compben survey.

Based in either our Melbourne or Brisbane offices and reporting to the Senior System Analyst – IT, you will partner with cross-functional business stakeholders to ensure design, implementation and support of end-to-end business application solution SAP Payroll. Your ability to gather technical documentation as well as build and deploy business models, in addition to providing ongoing daily support and payroll bug fixes, will ensure your success in this challenging and rewarding appointment. 

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Lead the functional delivery of SAP Payroll system upgrades and enhancements.
• Ensure all business requirements and functional designs are understood and delivered.
• Interpret systems specifications to develop, maintain and support reporting solutions.
• Create & manage functional documentation as well as perform unit testing and sign-off on system integration testing.
• Perform user training and interface with business application users at all levels to ensure all customer requirements are captured and understood.

About the role:

OceanaGold is seeking a professional and highly motivated individual to join Sustainability team. Reporting to the Group Manager Environment, you will coordinate and manage the delivery of the Junction Reefs mine relinquishment multi-year work program, to enable successful relinquishment and support the implementation of the multi-year group environment plan.  

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Junction Reefs Relinquishment

• Develop and review technical scopes of work to progress rehabilitation and remediation solutions for closure and rehabilitation.  Including (but not limited to) – contaminated land, water quality, ecological assessments.
• Directly manage and direct consultants and contractors in the delivery of technical scopes of works.
• Review technical reports and outputs to inform further works required for relinquishment, as well as to inform updates of closure and rehabilitation criteria, plans and schedules.
• Co-ordinate and manage delivery of all regulatory reporting requirements and ensure timely submission to the regulator.
• Prepare monthly project progress and budget (spend vs actual and forecast) reports to ensure timely updates are provided to the project Steering Committee.
• Develop annual budget requirements and manage the project effectively within budget.
• Coordinate and manage the project Steering Committee
• Liaise with and coordinate with the NSW Resources Regulator and Mining, Exploration and Geoscience, to confirm and progress relinquishment approach (in accordance with the Mining Act 1992).
