Turnitin is seeking an Account Executive to join our Secondary Education Sales Team. We are searching for someone who demonstrates a passion for education and the impact technology can make in secondary education. The candidate should have a solid understanding of the secondary education market in Australia and New Zealand, be entrepreneurial in spirit, collaborative and able to contribute to our continuing success and growth. The Account Executive will lead new business efforts in secondary schools across Australia and New Zealand, working to maximise opportunities for growth against a strategic growth plan, managing all client/customer interactions, product demonstrations, meetings, etc. to build pipeline and close sales.

Responsibilities: 

• Generate a strategic territory plan to forecast, own, and achieve annual sales targets, meeting or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.
• Carry out strategic research to build and maintain a pipeline of new business through inbound leads and outbound prospecting using a multi-touch strategy and various media.
• Successfully qualify opportunities through effective and personalised discovery.
• Lean into the needs of the client and understand their pain points and levers in order to craft the best solution to their needs.
• Convey our unique value proposition in conversations and product demonstrations which have been tailored to meet a prospect’s pain point and needs.
• Target, build and maintain relationships with potential new clients.
• Develop and execute daily plans to demonstrate productive sales activity, managing essential data tracking activity and progress in Salesforce CRM and any other systems.
• Navigate educational institutions to sell the right products to the appropriate stakeholders, quickly identifying the decision makers.
• Work closely with the immediate team and internal stakeholders including marketing, client success, sales engineers and product solution specialists to ensure a first-class client experience (speedy responses, complete responses, accurate, well-presented data and carefully worded professional communications).
• Keep up-to-date with and leverage market trends, partnerships, and government policy changes.
• Participate, as needed, in network building opportunities including, but not limited to, conferences, trade shows, on-site campus visits, group presentations, and industry functions.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively across internal teams.
• Ensure that accurate monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts are provided to the manager.
• Demonstrate proper use and knowledge of Turnitin specific systems (Salesforce, Groove, Zoom, etc.)
• Develop professional growth by reviewing trade publications, establishing and leveraging personal networks and participating with professional organisations and events.
• Demonstrate initiative to improve understanding of educational trends and legislation in territory.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree required
• Understanding of the secondary educational system in the region
• Circa 3 years of related work experience with demonstrated success in a sales hunter role 
• Results driven, self-starter
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills
• Strong verbal and written skills with an excellent phone presence
• Proven ability to work remotely and effectively with a remote team
• Familiarity with use of Apple computers, G-Suite business applications, and Salesforce

Function description:

As a Key Account Manager - Hotel Chains, you are responsible for managing the relationship with existing Key Chain Partners. In addition you support Booking.com BV’s acquisition of new Key Chain Partners in Sydney, Australia.
 
You create in depth quantity and quality reports on results and performance for information support to Booking.com BV. You proactively inform Key Chain Partners about the benefits of Booking.com BV’s products and services. You will be responsible for the improvement of Key Chain Partner’s availability and supply in order to support Booking.com BV in meeting the demands of the visitors on the Booking.com website.

The Global Accounts team APAC is based in Singapore and is part of the Partner Service Department and is responsible for managing the relationships with all key hotel chains in APAC. As part of this team you will need to work closely with other departments such as Connectivity, Hotel Innovations in Amsterdam, Credit Control and the Hotels team based in the Booking.com’s local offices within the APAC region.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate strong networking skills in order to connect with different stakeholders within Booking.com as well as within the Hotel Industry and within Hotel Chains.

This full time position will be based in our Sydney office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Booking.com BV’s-strategy for Key Chain Partners availability and supply within Sydney;
• Promote the Booking.com BV brand name and its online products and services to Key Partners;
• Support Booking.com BV in creating in depth Key Chain profiles that show understanding of the complexity of the Chain;
• Be a relationship builder for various internal and external stakeholders that are involved in the specific Key Chain;
• Train, consult, monitor, support internal and external stakeholders in handling the Key Chains in order to optimize their performance;
• Support Booking BV in securing its relationship and optimizing partnerships with the Key Chains of Booking.com BV;
• Assist Booking.com BV with initiatives and present Booking.com BV’s innovations with Key Chains to increase their performance;
• Analyze Key Accounts on global level, national level and on local/Property level;
• Monitor internal projects by being the main local contact person between Booking.com BV and the Key Chain.

Knowledge:

• In depth knowledge of the online travel industry;
• Strong knowledge of Channel Management;
• Strong knowledge of Booking.com BV’s Competitive landscape;
• Excellent knowledge of OTA products and services is preferred;
• Fluent English speaker and writer.

About the team
Plays an integral role in the sales process utilizing in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff in uncovering prospect requirements and identifying product functionality gaps to develop, recommend, and package the best possible products/solutions and/or services for client prospects through sales presentations and product demonstrations.

What you will be doing

• Work with sales management to develop and execute sales plans for target market sectors across the portfolio of Corporate Treasury and Payment solutions.

• Acquiring new clients for FIS Treasury solutions in Australia and NZ to ensure sales quotas are achieved

• Developing a sound sales pipeline of potential sales opportunities in assigned territory.

• Identify, contact and qualify new prospects within the territory

• Manage sales opportunities from first call through to closure

• Participating in sales calls and online visits to determine appropriate resources or representation by other FIS departments to close the deal

• Building and developing relationships to work with prospects at all levels (including C-levels)

• Undertaking demonstrations and/or presentations of selected product offerings

• Negotiating and closing new business contracts

• Developing add-on business from selected client portfolio to ensure sales quotas are achieved.

• Stay on top of all the market developments within the territory and take ownership of market intelligence and maintain awareness of all competitor activity.

• Developing new business opportunities that result in meeting and exceeding annual quota targets through sales to new customers and expanding options to existing accounts
