About the role: Our business has an established successful cultural identity, and we are currently looking for our next full time Team Leader . This opportunity is within our Home Care team supporting our clients in a range of suburbs in Southeast Sydney such as Caringbah, Miranda, Rockdale, Kogarah, Oyster Bay, Yowie Bay, Hurstville, Sans Souci and Engadine. Please note this role is based out of our ANZAC Village, Narrabeen on Sydney's stunning Northern Beaches!
As the Team Leader and a valued member of our well-respected RSL LifeCare Home Care team, you will manage and support a group of Home Care Support Workers within the Community Care service. You will also spend a small portion of your time 'hands on' in service provisioning for your catchment areas (when there are staff shortages). Services will include personal care, social support and respite care. About You: We are excited to hear from you about this role! We are looking out for:
An understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and guidelines, food safety, manual handling, safe chemical use, infection control practices, person centred and relationship-based care principles
Highly organized, tech-savvy with strong administrative skills and comfortable conducting training and education and leading staff meetings
Experience working in the community aged care sector that includes
assisting with medication administration and supporting clients as per the clients care plan
Qualifications in individual support or related work experience are essential
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Australian Working Rights
Current valid driver's license and a licensed, comprehensively insured and road worthy motor vehicle
Some travel required to South East Sydney
