The Cyber Team
The threat of cyber security incidents is growing, and the stakes get higher every day. As part of the Cyber team at Clayton Utz, you will work with prominent clients and our legal teams to provide cyber intelligence and security services.
The Role
As a Senior Manager - Cyber, you will play a pivotal role in our consulting team, specialising in compliance, GRC, and cyber privacy. You will lead engagements with clients, helping them assess, establish, and maintain robust compliance programs and cyber privacy measures.
As a member of our cyber and data governance team within FTS, your role will be focusing on fostering internal and external relationships to ensure governance, compliance and remediation practices. You will leverage your core experience to initiate and drive required objectives in the privacy and GRC space. You will be expected to report and deliver on data governance for the technology segment working transversely with cyber and FTS technology teams.
This role focuses on:
Compliance and GRC Leadership: Guide clients in meeting regulatory requirements, conducting risk assessments, and enhancing their Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) strategies.
Cyber Privacy Expertise: Stay current with cyber privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other global data protection laws, and assist clients in achieving and maintaining compliance.
Client Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing expert guidance and tailored cybersecurity and privacy solutions.
Cybersecurity Consulting: Provide in-depth expertise and insights to clients on best practices, privacy impact assessments, and the evolving landscape of data protection and cybersecurity.
Thought Leadership: Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity and privacy trends and share your insights through articles, webinars, and presentations.
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field;
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on compliance, GRC, and privacy;
Proven experience in a consulting role, working with a variety of clients and industries;
Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CISSP, or CISM are a plus;
Strong leadership and team management skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
