Due to the innovative and flexible working capabilities of the firm, as well as the national remit of FTS, the role can be based in our Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne office.

The Cyber & Data Governance Team
The threat of cyber security incidents is growing, and the stakes get higher every day. As part of the Cyber team at Clayton Utz, you will work with prominent clients and our legal teams to provide cyber intelligence and security services.

The Role
As an experienced Digital Forensic Specialist, with a focus on Cyber Security your highly visible role will primarily focus on incident response and performing cyber investigations. Your role will be to brief FTS leadership and Legal Counsel on the outcome of your cyber and digital investigations. Your expertise in incident management and your ability to navigate the intricacies of cyber remediation and building resilience will be critical in providing valuable insights to our clients.

Whilst this role requires DFIR capabilities it also requires broad technical capabilities in analysing custom logs, having knowledge of various types of Oss, mobile and integrating technical incident response into multiple cloud environments.

Besides a strong technical ability, you will posses the acumen for critical thinking and analysis, with the practical know how and ability to convey and articulate complex technical evidence and data driven conclusions to stakeholders.

This role focusses on:

Incident Response Leadership: Lead incident response efforts for clients, including triage, containment, eradication, and recovery.
Client Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service and tailored cybersecurity solutions.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering their growth and development.
Cybersecurity Consulting: Provide expert guidance to clients on best practices, risk assessments, and compliance requirements.
Thought Leadership: Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and share your insights through articles, webinars, and presentations.

Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field;
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on incident response and cyber resilience;
Proven experience in a consulting role, working with a variety of clients and industries;
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a plus;
Strong leadership and team management skills;
The ability to compose relevant digital forensic analysis reports, inventories and related timelines for critical and complex events; and
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
