As an Engineer in the high-profile Email Protection squad within Cyber Defence, you will play an instrumental role in uplifting and maintaining email protection controls used by over 50,000 users across all regions ANZ operates from. It’s a great opportunity to join a high performing squad comprised of members based in Melbourne & Manila.
The role would at times require responding to high priority incidents outside of business hours, which will be compensated additionally through on-call and call-back allowances.
What will your day look like
Each day is different, some of the things you might be involved with include:
Actively engage in the whole lifecycle (inception, design, development, testing, deployment, operation, monitoring and refinement) of solutions providing email protection services at ANZ
Monitor, measure and maintain availability and health of email protection solutions
Manage incidents/problems, apply fixes and resolve systematic issues; triage issues with stakeholders and identify and implement solutions to restore productivity
Advocate for changes that improve overall email protection service health and performance
Always look for opportunities to simplify and automate operational tasks
What will you bring?
We know not everyone will bring all of the skills and experience, and at ANZ we are focused on people bringing a growth mindset to their approach to work. Some of the skills we are looking for are below, but don’t worry if you don’t have all of these as learning on the job is the way we work. But back to some of the skills:
Experience implementing and operating SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions and/or COTS (commercial off the shelf) products
Experience across key service management functions - incident management, problem management & change management
Experience working in agile environments with sound understanding of agile ceremonies – PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retrospective, Stand-ups
Experience working within email protection space would be great, but is not a must have for this role, as we believe that the right candidate can gain that experience on the job and finally become an SME
