Title: Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, within Wholesales Digital, Institutional Data Analytics, you will be comfortable being hands-on, as well as a coach to the team. The role exists within a fast-moving insights team working on building a data-driven digital channel.
The Data Engineer will also work with senior data science management and departments beyond the Data and Analytics department in analyzing and understanding data sources, participating in the design, and providing insights and guidance on database technology and data modelling best practices.
What will your day look like
Following Agile methodology to manage and deliver data and insights product iteratively.
Analyse problems and customer needs from an end-to-end perspective and come up with designs and solutions to solve these problems.
Data wrangling for specific business use-cases
Perform Data Profiling, Statistical Analysis and Hypothesis Testing
Building scripts for large scale data processing on Hadoop with Hive, Pig, Spark (Scala) and Hue
Building automated data validation and data quality measurement framework

Between 3 and 5 years’ experience in full stack development with .NET, C#, Python and ReactJS on Google Cloud Platform
Hands on expertise in creating and deploying cloud infrastructure with Terraform and Kubernetes
Analytical and Modelling ability using Python and SQL
Expertise in building ELT pipelines with C# .NET and BigQuery
Building the Monitoring and Alerting Splunk Dashboards.
Maintaining and developing CI/CD pipelines based on Gitlab.
Ability to program and configure toolsets like Control-M, IBM DataStage, Google Cloud Dataflow and Airflow
Experience with log mining and observability tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
