Your new role
We are looking for a Supply Planner to join our Supply & Innovations team who are based at our Prestons site in South West Sydney.
The purpose of this role is to maintain relationships with internal cross-functional stakeholders and provide recommendations and alternatives to supply chain capability and performance. In addition to this, you will:
- Optimise the balance of inventory across the supply chain network in line with target customer service levels and safety stock levels, for your allocated product portfolio
- Place orders based upon agreed lead time and capacity availability, plus lead the interface to Suppliers to resolve supply issues relating to their product portfolio
- Develop and execute mitigation plans to relieve and eliminate out of stock situations; meeting both inventory and customer service targets
- Conduct regular business and performance reviews through contribution with various internal and external stakeholders and be accountable for master data for material planning and supply matrix list
- Monitor supply related performance metrics and consult with Suppliers regarding availability of capacity and scheduling of production
- Establish communication and information transfer process with our Suppliers

About you
Along with your 5+ years previous experience in a similar role, it would be great if you had the following skills and experience:
- Experience maintaining a minimum 12 months rolling supply plan with suppliers, with the ability to identify capacity constraints and agree actions to address the issue;
- Developing strong partnership with key supply partners, both domestically and overseas to ensure supply requirements are fulfilled;
- Executing the full supply chain lifecycle from purchase order placement, through to the flow of goods to the distribution point and everything in between
- Proven success leading initiatives that drive lead time reductions, cost savings and service levels improvements;
- Experience implementing and maintaining inventory and material management strategies for your respective SKUs by regular review and optimisation of inventory parameters and levels
- Demonstrable analytical skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in the integrated supply chain.
