We are currently seeing an EXPERIENCED Auto Electrician for work in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. We are offering a secure, full time position. We strive to maintain a strong safety culture and are looking for a highly competent tradesperson with a strong commitment to work health and safety.

You will be responsible for:
- Electrical fault diagnostics and repair.
- Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical wiring, electrical and electronic components.
- Monitoring plant and equipment for faults and repair as required.
- Managing vehicles, plant and equipment under warranty.
- Completing maintenance records using computerised software.
- Actively participating in toolbox safety meetings.
- Working respectfully in a small team environment.

- A National Police clearance obtained in the last six months and drivers licence history check (essential)

Preventative maintenance and breakdown repair of heavy vehicles and trailing equipment, mainly Volvo, Mack and Kenworth
Fault finding and diagnostics of heavy vehicles
Field service and breakdown attendance
Refurbishment and fit out of new and existing equipment

Essential Criteria:
Current and valid Drivers Licence
Trade Certificate or equivalent skills assessment

Desirable Criteria:
Two years post trade experience
Hydraulic and electrical experience
Volvo, Kenworth and Mack experience (preferred)
Automotive Air Conditioning licence (desirable)
WA Commercial Drivers Medical
High Risk Work licences

MX Aircraft Technologies facility is based in Jandakot Perth, Western Australia (6164).

Position is full time (40 hours/week) onsite and you must hold the relevant technical skills within the vehicle painter industry preparing surfaces of vehicles, matching and mixing colours and applying paint to vehicles. The suitable candidate must have at least 3 years experience and demonstrate a commitment to exceptional quality, safety and high standards of work, to be considered for the role. The successful candidate must have the ability to self-manage and report to the production floor manager as required.

Essential skills and experience:

• Have 3 years experience in a similar technician role with technical skills in vehicle painting including:
o Removing rough spots on vehicle panels
o Sanding surfaces by hand and with power sanders
o Masking areas not to be painted with tape and paper
o Colour matching and mixing paints to match paint shades, and selecting pre-mixed paint
o Applying primer and finishing coats using spray-guns, and sanding surfaces between coats
o Touching up paintwork and applying polish to vehicles
o Removing masking papers, and waxing and polishing finished paintwork
o Painting signs and artwork on vehicles
o Treating vehicles with rust-proofing chemicals
• Follow design specifications, drawings and technical data
• An ability to demonstrate proactive high quality workmanship
• Effective time management to ensure punctual product component delivery.
• Comply with established safety standards and regulations with the industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
