The Banking Code Compliance team at the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) monitor banks’ compliance with the Banking Code of Practice (the Code). By driving best practice, its aim is to improve standards of service in the Australian Banking industry – ultimately helping banks to create a better banking experience for customers. The Code team is a separately operated and funded business unit of AFCA working with the independent Banking Code Compliance Committee(BCCC) (refer to Banking Code).

The role of Senior Code Compliance Analyst will report to the Banking Code Senior Manager.  The role involves monitoring bank practices to identify problems, recommending improvements and reporting publicly on findings. The role will be responsible for supporting the BCCC by providing high quality data and compliance analysis, monitoring and reporting on code compliance and investigating Code breach allegations.

Typically in this role, you will:

• Analyse qualitative and quantitative information to identify emerging problems and understand their significance
• Provide compliance research as well as other duties on behalf of the BCCC
• Monitor and report on Code compliance by leading compliance programs and monitoring activities
• Conduct compliance investigations and advise on corrective actions for breaches
• Provide BCCC secretariat support
• Proactively engage and liaise with code subscribers and consumer advocacy groups

An exciting chance to join our growing IT department for a passionate and motivated Senior Test Analyst. You will  play a key role in supporting the ongoing development of AFCAs core Microsoft D365 platforms. This is a hands-on role, with the successful candidate to participate in the testing of Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Portals, Dynamics 365 Finance, and in-house developed solutions. We are seeking someone who is naturally curious and thrives in an ever evolving environment. You will be reporting into the Test Manager and joining a collaborative team of other testers. 

Please note, this position is initially a 12-month fixed term contract.

Typically, in this role you will: 

• Perform manual testing activities, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Assist with the introduction of automation testing – tool configuration, test scripts, monitoring and reporting
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Conduct testing across various platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Dynamics 365 CE, and web portals.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and document software defects and issues.
• Participate in test planning and provide valuable insights to improve the overall testing process.
• Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices
• Continuous Improvement & Automation - on-going improvement of testing activities, identify areas for improvement, champion a focus on high quality outcomes.

The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Rest products & services by designing, executing, and managing comprehensive test plans and test reports for the Member Portfolio delivery pipeline. Responsible for identifying defects early, improving product performance, and ensuring that the final deliverables meet business and user requirements, thereby reducing risks and enhancing customer satisfaction. 

• Create and maintain Digital Test plans, Test Summary Reports ensuring they are continuously updated to reflect changes in the project to identify potential risks early in the project and plan mitigation strategies. 

• Designing and setting up robust test automation frameworks using Playwright and Browserstack along with seamlessly integrating these frameworks with CI/CD pipelines to facilitate testing across various environments. 

• Possess expertise in ETL, SQL and database management for efficient data handling, querying, and system integration. 

• Coordinate and manage test execution activities, ensuring they align with the Project delivery goals and timelines. In addition, oversee the creation, review, and management of test cases in Zephyr, ensuring they cover all functional and non-functional requirements. 

• Ensure Jira and Zephyr are configured optimally to support the testing process, customizing dashboards, workflows, and reports as needed to track and manage test execution status as well as defects, ensuring timely reporting, prioritization, and resolution in collaboration with development teams 

• Work closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on testing goals and regularly communicate test progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment. 

• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the testing function and contributing towards DTD QA Roadmap 

• Collaborate & coordinate with vendors around implementation of testing activities and test phases in line with project goals and timelines  

• Implementing and executing performance tests on both website and app platforms to ensure optimal functionality. 

• Demonstrating hands-on expertise in visual, functional, and accessibility testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage and quality assurance. 

• Providing mentorship to QA resources, guiding them in upskilling and adopting best practices in test automation. 

• Ensure the “Test-Driven Delivery” is followed by adopting a shift-left testing approach for the overall test strategy aligned with the project goals and Agile methodologies.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in a software testing role
• Strong knowledge of current testing techniques and methodologies
• Experience in system testing, systems integration testing, regression testing, UAT, database testing, and API testing
• Provide Validation and verification of test inputs, functional specifications, requirements etc., for testability, ambiguity, and completeness
• Familiarity with Agile and waterfall development methodologies
• Experience working in a team located across time zones
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Produce test artefacts, Test Cases, Expected Results, Actual Results, Defects, Data, Defect Re-tests, and Test Outcome Reports
• Provide input to the Test Planning and Estimating test phases
• Ability to work well in a team
• Track record of delivering commitments on time and with high quality
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps is a plus
• ISTQB Advanced certified
• Fundamentals of Non-Functional Testing
• SQL/Database knowledge
