Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, a maintenance employee forms a critical part of the restaurant team. This role is suited to an individual who is highly organised, is able to work autonomously and displays high attention to detail. A maintenance employee is primarily focused on cleanliness of the restaurant (internally and externally) and preparing the restaurant for trade each day. The hours will be 10pm-4am Thursday to Monday including weekends so must be included in your available working times

What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?

• Maintain all aspects of the internal and external restaurant environment to provide a clean, functioning and welcoming environment for Crew, Managers and Customers
• Ensure equipment is well functioning and the restaurant environment is safe and secure
• Maintain the restaurant carpark, patio and all exterior equipment including, but not limited to: bins, toilets, gardens, curbs, signage, floors, tables and chairs
• Organise and clean the back area of the restaurant including the corral area and staff change rooms
• Complete other maintenance tasks when requested by the Management team

Our Trades Service team are seeking a dedicated Commercial Carpenter/Handyperson with experience in building services maintenance to assist our contract and facilities managers, providing excellent customer service on behalf of our clients.  

The successful applicant will be supplied with a fully maintained service vehicle, attractive rates, phone, uniform and the security of working for a growing global company with a long trade services history.

About the role

We currently have a full-time position for an experienced Carpenter in the Brisbane area. As a member of the Facilities Service team, you will be reporting into the State Service Manager, where your key responsibilities will include but not limited to: 

• Undertake urgent, routine and ad-hoc maintenance, repairs, inspections on the client’s premises and equipment as directed by the company.

• Review and comment on any instructions and standard operating procedures for handyman services supplied by Cushman & Wakefield Services.

• Liaise closely with key stakeholders to ensure they are aware of any disruption to services by any works servicing undertaken.

• Participate and take an active role when new equipment items are transferred from Projects to Maintenance.

• Ensure effective Key Performance Indicators are managed effectively including response times, safety, compliance, and financial performance of all job numbers assigned to you.

• Utilise the mobility solution to retrieve work order details and enter and complete all historical information within the system.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position you will bring previous experience in a similar environment. Minimum requirements include:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Carpentry background in a Commercial, Domestic or Corporate environment.

• Relevant current Trade Qualification – Carpentry and Building

• Valid manual Driver’s Licence

• Experience in Building Services Maintenance

• Basic estimating (small works)

• App’s experience for completing documentation

• Basic IT skills

We are currently sourcing a Senior Manager, General Advice Delivery to join our Financial Wellbeing team at AIA in Melbourne. AIAFW has a focus on accelerating growth through the middle market and within this role you will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience through our ‘General Advice’ delivery channel. To be successful you will:

• Shape and build the general advice  division  to ensure AIA Financial Services clients receive affordable and reliable Life and health insurance solutions (via a digitally led multichannel approach)

• Ensure the consistency of ‘General Advice’ delivery regardless of lead origination, touchpoint or consultant, enabling a seamless experience for customers wanting to purchase insurance protection

• Supporting the definition and design of the end-to-end strategic customer journey & pathways, optimising business function and process through operational and technology enablers, (whilst factoring in regulatory considerations).

• Manage the operations of the Direct Life Insurance and General  Advice teams including design of the strategic acquisition and conversion model, leading the people and overall performance.

To be successful you will:

• Have demonstrated experience developing and working in a similar Direct Life or General advice team

• RG146 qualified

• Exceptional customer engagement skills and the ability to implement change

• Solid understanding of industry, regulatory and competitor issues as relevant to interests and outcomes for customers within Financial Services or Insurance

• Proven experience in customer advocacy and comparable client focused or advisory role
