The Real Estate team at Guzman y Gomez are looking for a Designer to join the team. In this exciting role, you will work alongside a talented team to ensure the seamless execution of GYG’s Corporate restaurant design guidelines across new restaurant builds, refurbishments, roll-out projects, and smaller scale initiatives. The Designer plays a key part in shaping the look and feel of GYG restaurants, contributing to our mission of delivery excellent restaurant experiences.

What you can expect:

• Develop feasibility and internal plans for GYG restaurant formats, ensuring brand consistency and design standards.
• Manage external designers and suppliers for the implementation of new store formats and refurbishments.
• Maintain and update GYG standard documents and guidelines.

You will enjoy this role if you have:

• Bachelor of Interior Design / Architecture / Drafting or equivalent
• Commercial Design experience in Retail or Hospitality is ideal
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the Building Code of Australia, Industry policies, standards, and codes of practice
• Have a good understanding of the construction industry including budgets, build cost breakdowns and documentation
• Ability to travel locally and interstate when required
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, and various design software programs for example Sketch Up, In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator and MS Suite

As a Designer at We Are Social, you’ll be bringing to life impeccably-crafted, socially-led creative ideas across multiple platforms for some of the world’s biggest brands. 

You’re not just a pro with static layouts, but also well-versed in motion design, video editing, and probably even dabble in animation, illustration, or shooting your own stuff with either a phone or DSLR camera.

About the role

As a Specialist UI Designer, you will drive and actively create the CommSec design language. You will work closely with our UX designers, product owners and developers to design a beautifully crafted and seamless experience across our digital assets. Your team

• Knowledge and application of Brand and tone of voice into graphical user interfaces

• Design world class human centered experiences across the various digital channels and mediums
