The Client:
D Fresh Produce is a leading agricultural enterprise specialising in Asian vegetables. Operating on a 50-acre farm in Mangrove Mountain, the business has increased its production capacity tenfold through the adoption of innovative farming methods, including hydroponics and mechanisation.
They now seek an experienced Management Consultant to join their team in Mangrove Mountain in NSW.
The Role:
The Management Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving D Fresh Produce’s strategic growth and operational efficiency. This role requires a focus on developing and implementing solutions to optimise farm operations, supply chain management, market strategies, labour and financial performance. The Management Consultant will utilise their expertise to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance the business’s overall productivity, profitability, and competitiveness in the agricultural market.
It is for a full time role based in Mangrove Mountain with an annual salary between $105,000 to $115,000, depending on experience + Superannuation.

The Responsibilities:
Analyse current business operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the business’s short and long-term goals.
Identify new market opportunities and provide insights on emerging trends in the agriculture and produce sectors.
Assist in diversifying the product range and exploring export opportunities for premium produce.
Evaluate existing farming processes, including hydroponic and in-ground
cultivation, and recommend improvements to maximise yield and quality.
Introduce best practices in mechanisation to reduce manual labour requirements further and improve harvest efficiency.
Optimise supply chain and logistics to ensure timely delivery of produce to the Sydney Growers Market and other buyers.
Conduct financial analysis to assess profitability and cost structures.
Provide recommendations to improve budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
Advise on potential grants or subsidies available to agricultural enterprises for innovation and sustainability initiatives.
Ensure adherence to agricultural regulations, food safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Identify potential risks in operations or market dynamics and develop mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with the Lin brothers to align strategic initiatives with business objectives.
Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, suppliers, and buyers.
Engage with local agricultural communities and organisations to enhance the business’s profile and network.
The Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Commerce or Law
At least 4 years of highly relevant experience in a consulting background
At least 4 years experience in management consulting or a similar role
Expertise in supply chain management, operational efficiency, and financial planning.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make evidence-based decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
