We have an opportunity for you to join our Front Office team as Duty Manager on a full-time basis. Reporting to our Front Office Manager, the Duty Manager will manage the Front Office operations across reception, guest relations, and reservations during your shift, while creating memorable and unique experiences for the guests visiting the Hotel.

In this role you will:

As an Assistant Outlets Manager, you will lead a diverse team of hospitality professionals to create unforgettable experiences for our guests in our award-winning restaurant, Bistro Suzette, our elegant lobby bar, Cuvee and our In-Room Dining & Mini Bar services.

• Assist in overseeing daily operations of multiple food and beverage outlets
• Collaborate with the Outlets Manager to develop and implement strategies for improving service quality and efficiency
• Supervise and support staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and company policies
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to strategise on new product and service offerings
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently

As Night Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations during the night shift, ensuring the smooth running of the hotel and creating a safe, sound and exceptional guest journey from night until morning.

Your Primary duties & responsibilities include:

• Manager on duty for the hotel, including check-ins, check outs and guest enquiries
• Perform night audit functions, ensuring proper balancing of hotel revenues in rooms and food & beverage
• Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
• Ensuring the safety of our guests throughout the night

Responsible for the supervision of the smooth and efficient daily operation of the Hotel and ensures that all hotel guests and visitors receive an optimum level of service and care at all times.

This is a hands-on role, highly customer focused, and requires an individual who can lead by example in meeting and maintaining our team brand standards. In addition, you will:

• Assuming responsibility for the operation of the hotel under the guidance of the General Manager, including overnight caretaker duties

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in high volume FMCG promotional planning and execution within category management, franchising, or a retailing environment.  You will possess excellent internal/ external key stakeholder relationship management skills and excel in communicating across all levels of business.  You will be an innovative and strategic thinker with a specific focus around digital activation and implementation across all channels.  This role is Permanent full time, 38hrs per week, requiring a small amount of regular travel to visit our on-site taverns and stores.  Salary will be commensurate with experience circa $130-140K + Super + 5 weeks annual leave (conditions apply).  Our interview process will commence in Jan 2025.

Duties include:

• Manage promotional budgets and allocate resources effectively to achieve optimal ROI
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of promotional activities
• Oversee the planning and execution of product development, promotional events and activations nationwide
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and those outside of Sodexo
• Lead and mentor a promotions coordinator to deliver on time and high-impact promotional initiatives

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field (desirable), however more importantly there will be a strong preference for those coming from a background of convenience retailing at a national level 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail FMCG promotional management, with a proven track record of successful national promotional campaigns
• Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills
• Skills in data analysis and reporting to measure campaign effectiveness
• In-depth knowledge of the Australian FMCG market and current trends with an emphasis on convenience retailing 
• Proficiency in using Microsoft suite of applications 
• Demonstrates soft skills such as open-mindedness, analytical thinking, professionalism, and a strong drive for sales.
• Remote industry knowledge (desirable)
