As a Department Manager you are responsible for supporting the Sales and Profit goals by setting a plan for your department to deliver a Great Customer Experience in line with your store. You ensure you have a Great Team and support their development, working with succession planning, talent development and structured performance management for your team based on results, values, and leadership.   

Key responsibilities: 

• Regularly analyse and follow up Sales & Profit KPIs for your department and together with the Visual Merchandisers you take action to maximise sales. 
• Drive Hello Member program in line with country goals.
• Ensure your department continuously meets H&M standards and follow this up using the Customer Experience Tool.  
• Together with your Visual Team, you ensure the implementation of the Commercial Handbook. 
• Evaluate and manage the performance of your team; give regular feedback, execute performance development reviews, development plans, follow-up and take any appropriate action to improve performance and develop your team. 
• Actively work with a talent pipeline in your department to support the business and store needs. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Offering customers a high level of service, through styling advice, product knowledge and store experience 
• Analysing selling information and working with the store manager, maximise the sales performance of your department 
• Leading a team of sales assistants to achieve excellent standards of service 
• Supporting recruitment and ensure induction and training to new starters is carried out 
• Assisting the store manager to identify future talents and putting together development plans to support their progression 
• Overseeing store operations  
• Being a COS brand ambassador and providing the best experience for our customers. 
• Stepping into the role of Store Manager in their absence 

What you'll be doing:

As Reservations Manager, you will lead the Reservations team and play a critical role in creating the perfect stay for each and every one of our guests. You are a natural leader who thrives in a team environment and possess strong organisational and time management skills with an impeccable eye for detail.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building effective business relationships with key clients and travel agents through the delivery of outstanding customer service, whether over the phone, email or face-to-face
• Ensuring the Reservations team use the hotel systems to process and input reservations in an accurate and efficient manner
• Maintaining a positive selling approach to maximise yield in both occupancy and rates, reporting directly to the Revenue Manager
• Possess strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workflow and workload individually and across the team
• Producing and distributing rooming lists and confirmations as required and maintain regular communication with clients
• Undertake group reservation tasks such as actioning releases and loading rooming lists for multiple properties
• Nurture business relationships with key clients and travel agents to encourage loyalty
• Promote all hotel facilities, cross sell and upsell where appropriate
• Actively work with the front office team on how to sell the hotel, convert enquiries to reservations and be aware of all promotions
• Work with Sales & Marketing to promote packages and special offers
