About the Role:
ACT Pathology is a division of the Canberra Health Services with laboratories located at both the Canberra Hospital and the North Canberra Hospital operating 24 hours, 7 days a week all year round, and Collection Centres located at several community sites. Pathology provides diagnostic and consultative services to medical specialists and general practitioners and their patients in hospital and in the community. The Chief Scientist, Haematology plays a critical role in building leadership capability across ACT Pathology. As well as providing line management and operational supervision for Laboratory Haematology, a key focus for the role is to work proactively and collaboratively with other leaders and teams across ACT Pathology. This collaboration will drive alignment on innovation, strategy and continuous improvement, and thus growing the ACT Pathology brand, excellence in clinical diagnostics, and ensuring a rewarding future for our people.
