The Opportunity We are hiring an experienced Commercial Manager to drive commercial success within Toll Group's Resources and Industrial business. This full-time position is based ideally in Arndell Park. As a pivotal member of a three-person team, you will support the Senior Commercial Manager for Fuel & Gases by delivering meticulous analytical reviews of Toll R&I operations. Your role will also encompass ensuring the seamless integration of Toll R&I systems, enabling the development of precise monthly financial reports for the group. A Day in the Life of a Commercial Manager at Toll Group
Partner with Regional/Project Managers, Site Managers, and Admin teams to collaboratively drive optimal financial outcomes, ensuring every decision counts towards success.
Create robust cost and financial models, conducting in-depth IRR evaluations, scenario analyses, and sensitivity assessments that guide strategic planning and innovation.
Craft competitive pricing solutions for customer tenders, fostering strong client relationships and securing new business opportunities while nurturing existing partnerships.
Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to prepare compelling tenders, conduct thorough customer analysis, and navigate contract complexities with strategic insight.
Work closely with the Divisional Finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis of business trends and performance metrics, driving informed decision-making.
Implement invoicing processes and monitoring systems to guarantee accurate invoicing, maximizing revenue capture and enhancing overall working capital performance.
Innovate and implement continuous improvement initiatives that elevate financial conditions across the Fuels and Gases business, ensuring sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Develop and review business cases for capital investments, contributing to strategic decision-making that fuels long-term business growth and success.
Engage in monthly and quarterly business performance reviews, providing strategic insights and recommendations that contribute to organizational success and continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 3 years experience in commercial finance.
Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Utilities or Road Transport desirable.
Proficiency in advanced MS Excel and financial modeling.
Strong analytical and commercial skills, including cost driver and productivity analysis.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
Proven track record in people management.
Experience in contract negotiations (customer and/or supplier).
A valid driver's license (car) is essential.
Familiarity with Power BI is desirable.
