What You'll Do

We currently have a full-time permanent opportunity for a passionate and experienced Learning & Development Trainer where you will have the opportunity to design, develop and deliver training for front line employees and managers across the NRMA portfolio of businesses.

In particular, you will create learner experiences that give our team members the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional customer service and experiences for our members, customers and guests. Working closely as part of a Learning & Capability team, and key business stakeholders, you’ll conduct needs analysis, create and deliver training programs and initiatives across multiple modalities that align to business objectives and to the NRMA Playbook.

The role is based from our Sydney office.  We offer hybrid work arrangements with the flexibility to work from home and travel to all our sites with attendance at our Sydney (and Coolangatta office on an adhoc basis) as agreed and required for the role.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Partnering with the business and team members to design learning that meets learner needs, aligns to business objectives, and to our Playbook values
• Designing creative, effective and engaging learning materials and programs using a variety of platforms and tools
• Leveraging a blended learning approach that includes e-learning, virtual sessions, self-directed learning as well as face to face workshops, sessions and modules
• Assessing, evaluating and iterating to ensure the success of each initiative
• Facilitating and delivering training with consistency and quality – this will require travel for face to face training across a portfolio of sites and will also include virtual training
• Working collaboratively with stakeholders to identify core skill gap, key learner priorities and embed learning initiatives
• Participating in projects requiring learning support such as inductions and onboarding, systems, policy and procedural changes to ensure a great learner experience
• Working with functions such as HR and Safety to ensure training meets legislative requirements and best practices
• Flexing and adapting to changing needs across the organisation and the team, leaning in to assist where needed

What You'll Bring

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with relevant tertiary qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with a background in the hospitality industry
• Excellent facilitation skills, both online and face to face, to frontline operations team
• Strong instructional design skills across a variety of platforms, video and tools including Articulate, Canva, Ed-App and Vyond
• An ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
• Curiosity – always looking for ways to improve to meet future needs
• Flexibility and ability to adapt
• The drive to take ownership and accountability for your portfolio/projects
• A passion for learning - seeking to continually develop your own knowledge and skills

We have multiple opportunities for experienced trainers to join our exciting multi-year Defence program to deliver an enterprise Health Knowledge Management (HKM) System. This capability will enable better clinical decision making for the ADF by providing market leading healthcare to ADF personnel and is a key capability and priority for the ADF.

To prepare end users for use and adoption of the new system, a comprehensive training program is being developed and delivered. Clinical Information Application Trainers will provide end user training in one or more applications across a range of applications such as primary care, dental, and pharmacy. These roles are in the Business Transformation Stream as part of the Training portfolio and will liaise very closely with the Organisational Change Management Team, Clinical Advisors and the Product/Application specialists across the project.

Responsibilities include:

• Development and delivery of instructor led training (virtual and face to face)
• Planning and implementation of training frameworks and materials in collaboration with the Training Team
• Creating and maintaining training materials and curriculum
• Providing specialist training knowledge and apply this to product and clinically appropriate training for end users
• Supporting coordination of training planning, deliverables and implementation
• Proactively engaging and liaising closely with key internal and external stakeholders
• Evaluation of training delivery where applicable.
