The Seer Data platform is a data access, sharing, storytelling and reporting platform. It is the first and only data technology platform co-designed with hundreds of Not-for-profits, community organisations, philanthropic foundations, corporates and governments across Australia. The platform is designed to be user-friendly, enabling people of all skillsets and backgrounds to do data work themselves.
The Role
As a Seer Data Analyst, you'll play a vital role in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data to uncover insights that drive positive changes in communities for our customers. You’ll be able to meet community where they are at and help them make sense and meaning from data. Your main responsibility will be to complete customer projects according to the agreed project charter. This will involve building close working relationships with customers with varying levels of data literacy, collecting and ingesting data into the Seer Data platform, analyzing data, identifying trends, and presenting findings in a clear and actionable manner to support the needs and decisions of our customers. You’ll be a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a passion for making a meaningful impact on society through data-driven insights.
Your Responsibilities
Collaborating with customers (primarily via video) to understand the problems they are trying to solve and devising data-driven solutions to assist
Building the data capability and data literacy of our customers so that they can do data themselves with the Seer Data platform and products
Contributing to the development and delivery of training courses and modules for the Seer Learning Lab and customers
Identifying, understanding and sourcing data sources and frameworks that support our customers, and engaging data custodians where required
Creating data storytelling suitcases, insights and dashboards for customers using Open and Private Data on the Seer Data platform, made up of tables, charts, summary observations and commentary and multi-media content where applicable
Creating data schema templates for customers to populate their own data, in line with Seer Data conventions and standards
Design and development of data products and solutions for the Seer Data platform and customers.
Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, project management software, and other tools for efficient and effective project and data management.
Data engineering and data ingestion for Open and Private data into the Seer Data Platform using python
Design of data frameworks, templates and collection for impact measurement for Seer Data and our customers
Keeping up to date with the data collections on Seer Data and seek to understand and improve the data contained
Staying informed about industry trends, data analysis and visualisation techniques, and best practices.
