About the Role: As a Sous Chef, you’ll assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing food preparation and cooking processes in our dining establishment. Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll help design our menu, monitor food quality, and ensure each dish meets our high standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional dedicated to quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning menus, estimating food and labor costs, and ordering necessary supplies.
• Supervise and monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, waitstaff, and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Demonstrate culinary techniques in respect to our specialised mediterranean and pizza menu
• Supervise team members on cooking procedures.
• Prepare and cook various dishes, upholding the establishment’s quality standards.
• Enforce hygiene regulations and ensure kitchen safety standards are maintained.
• Support management in selecting, training, and mentoring kitchen staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in hospitality or a related field, or at least three years of relevant experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of culinary techniques and food safety.
• Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
