We are in the research and development phase of a platform of technologies aimed to increase production, lower greenhouse gases, improve land use and impact the lives of smallholder farmers around the world. The position
The full-time Brisbane based role support the laboratory functions of Nbryo, the Field Technician is responsible for assisting with field operations.
Key responsibilities:
* Search and classification of oocytes during Ovum Pick-Up (OPU) procedures;
* Loading of embryos in preparation for Embryo Transfer (ET);
* Assist in documenting field observation records;
* Assist in research in laboratory;
* Assist in calibration and maintenance of portable field equipment (e.g. nitrogen tanks, microscopes, portable incubators);
* Assist with the preparation of culture media prior to field operations;
* Prepare materials and equipment required ahead of travel;
* Maintain inventory consumables stock;
* Comply and support the Quality Management system in all aspects of your role;
* Travel required, with occasional overnight stays.
Qualifications/skills/experience required:
* Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent required;
* Livestock handling of Bovines desirable;
* At least five (5) years of relevant experience required;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Details orientated;
* Organised;
* Microsoft Office suite preferred;
* Monday experience desirable;
* Driving license.
