The Mechanical Closures Engineer will support the delivery of closure studies and will provide technical engineering design oversight, cost estimation and reporting as required.
Job Tasks and Duties:
• Plan, coordinate and execute the activities associated with closure study work;
• Ensure the optimisation of resources to deliver closure studies on time and on budget;
• Assist with business development initiatives to target closure study work with both existing and potential new clients;
• Coordinate design activities with peers within the contracting business to develop innovation in engineering design on projects;
• Develop strong relationships with third party engineering consultants to procure design assistance as needed in the delivery of closure studies ;
• Develop strong relationships with third party engineering consultants to assist in their closure study bids and delivery, providing sub-consultant services as a “specialist contractor” as part of their broader engineering teams;
• Maintain a strong commitment to the company’s HSEQ policies, and contribute to a culture of innovation and class leading technology in the demolition industry;
• Analyse complex problems, identify critical issues and develop strategies for delivering solutions;
• Attend industry conferences and training seminars with a view to continual improvement and enhancing the Liberty Industrial brand as a leader within the industry;
• To prepare and present at both a tender and post-delivery stage to a high degree of engineering professionalism;
• Identify gaps in our Engineering and closure study capacity and make suggestions for improvements.
• Support the development of additional closure study capability within the business to cover other aspects of closure study work including land forming, ecology, hydrogeology, rehabilitation and monitoring.
Salary - $116,224 per annum plus superannuation
Experience required: Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of work experience or 5 years work experience may substitute for formal qualification
