Efficiently allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, ensuring optimal utilization.
Oversee procurement processes for materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
Ensure that all project activities comply with Australian building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to comply with the Work Health and Safety Act and other relevant legislation.
Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Address and resolve issues promptly, including technical problems, disputes, and unforeseen challenges.
Maintain regular communication with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any concerns.
Provide regular updates on project progress, financial status, and any issues to clients and senior management.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of all project-related information, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Ensure that construction work meets quality standards and adheres to project specifications and client requirements.
Monitor project expenses and ensure they align with the budget. Handle financial adjustments and manage any claims or variations.
Oversee contract administration, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Contribute to the development and improvement of internal processes and systems to enhance project delivery and efficiency.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to secure repeat business and enhance company reputation.

You must demonstrate
Extensive expertise in project management.
Experience serving as a superintendent’s representative on construction projects.
Proven track record of overseeing construction projects from start to finish.
Proficient in preparing project management plans, managing and updating project schedules, identifying risks, and implementing risk mitigation measures.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills that cultivate positive working relationships.
Solid financial acumen and experience in managing project budgets.
Consistent use of evidence-based decision-making, with innovative problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement improvements and efficiencies.
Proficient IT skills for utilizing corporate systems in daily operations.
Willing to undergo pre-employment medical and police background checks.
Tertiary qualification in Project Management or a related field such as Architecture or Construction Management.
Prepared to undertake training to achieve Council’s Level 2 Procurement certification upon commencement.
