Logix Engineering Pty Ltd is a wholly owned Australian company, specialising in the design, manufacture and supply of Electrical and ITS products for the infrastructure industry and requires skilled Electrical workers to ensure ITS communication cabinets meet the standards of each Government to ensure the roads, particularly intersections and motorways are safe for all drivers across Australia.
Electrician undertake electrical and data communications wiring of equipment enclosures as well as the unloading, loading and despatch of goods from the warehouse.
All Electrician report to the Workshop Supervisor and Team Leaders and it is expected that they will work a minimum of 38 hours per week as well as reasonable overtime as and when required.
Qualification & Work Experience
· Relevant Certificate III or above
· Minimum 1 years of work experience
Key Requirements
· Electrical Trade background or suitable electrical experience preferably gained in an electrical switchboard company.
· Knowledge of electrical and data communications enclosures and wiring.
· Must be able to read and write in English.
· Strong verbal communication skills
· Ability to take direction from Workshop Supervisor and Team Leaders as required and to also work independently.
Technical Knowledge
· Electrical wiring experience.
· Ability to read and understand basic electrical and data communications wiring diagrams
· Ability to build electrical control cabinets.
Key Responsibilities
· Electrical and data communications wiring of equipment enclosures in accordance with the relevant drawings and work instructions;
· Inspection and testing in accordance with the QMS;
· Assessment, rework and retest of initial test failures;
· Maintenance and upkeep of the workshop area;
· Identify opportunities for product or process improvement.
Skills
· Ability to test electrical equipment in accordance with Australian standards and Logix Inspection and Test Plans
· Must be able to use all basic hand tools.
· Must be able to use all basic power tools, drills, screwdrivers, metal cutting saw, jigsaw, grinder.
· Forklift Licence is preferable.
All work will be carried out in accordance with Logix Engineering’s integrated management system.
