Exciting full-time opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to be a key member of our payroll team.
Purpose of Position
The Payroll Officer provides transaction processing and the effective management of payroll and related employee functions. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with Southern Cross Care policies and procedures, relevant standards, legislation and accepted industry practices.
This position is responsible for the accurate, efficient and timely completion of routine payroll and employee transactional functions including interpretation of timesheets, masterfile maintenance, data entry when required and reporting in accordance with legislated timeframes.
Liaising with staff and management on payroll queries.
Interpreting time and attendance data according to SCC Enterprise Agreement, relevant payroll legislation and company policies.
Payroll reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations.
Calculation and processing of termination and redundancy payments.
