The role:
Nupac has a fantastic opportunity available for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to assist in the servicing, troubleshooting, operation, maintenance, installation and commissioning of capital pharmaceutical packaging equipment.
This role requires a technician with a background in capital equipment, who is both highly motivated and has the ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively in a service team. In this role you will have the opportunity to take ownership and responsibility of servicing and commissioning projects with a range of high profile manufacutring companies while working closely with the respected and supportive Nupac sales and technical team.
Key Responsibilities
• Assembly and installation of new and modified machinery/components.
• Organising and supporting inspection and maintenance of machines.
• Testing and fault finding mechanical elements of machinery.
• On site problem solving, trouble shooting, servicing and repairs.
• Attending FATs with customers at supplier’s sites as needed.
• Ensuring that finished work is within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
• Undertaking training on new equipment as required, both in customers’ sites and in overseas suppliers’ sites.
• Reporting and documenting visits.
Experience/Knowledge
• At least 3 years capital equipment experience.
• Experience with pharmaceutical processing and packaging machinery.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with cartoning equipment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, fault finding and repairing technical machinery.
• Self motivated and ability to work autonomously.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with Syntegon machines is a bonus.
• Mechatronics experience is a bonus.
