The PORT LINCOLN BAKERY is looking for an experienced baker to join its busy Production Kitchen that supplies artisan bread, pastries, cakes and chocolate to all of the Group's venues. The responsibilities include:
Mixing, shaping, and baking the highest quality of all baked goods, consistently including but not limited to artisan breads and rolls, muffins, laminated dough, and doughnuts.
Quality control, rejecting any products that are not up to par and working constructively with the other bakers to correct any deficiencies.
Manage production schedule, maintaining stock levels and keeping waste to a minimum.
New menu and item development.
Inventory and stock control.
Overseeing and execution of kitchen cleanliness that adhere to hygiene and safety regulations.
Maintenance of kitchen equipment.
The successful applicant must show a high level of knowledge in artisan baking and pastry making. The applicant will need to be a positive person who is team oriented, self-motivated and takes personal pride in producing quality food on a daily basis. Being well-organised, methodical and being able to demonstrate a strong work ethic in previous roles are a must. The candidate needs to be reliable, will understand that working independently and working early morning/night shifts are critical aspects of this role.
A qualified applicant must have the right positive attitude of learning evident, minimum certificate level 3 and the candidate can also demonstrate that their ability to follow directions is proven in other roles. The successful applicant must show some years of experience. This position is a regular shifts of 5 days a week over a 7 day roster.
