Job Summary:
As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining a clean and safe food environment. You will need to have a passion for cooking and leading a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, including meats, vegetables, and desserts
- Develop and implement new recipes and menus
- Manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring junior chefs
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
- Order and manage kitchen supplies and inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Work efficiently and effectively during peak periods
- Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to achieve culinary goals
Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent cooking and presentation skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Creativity and innovation in menu planning and presentation
Salary - $75,000 plus super
