Rising Stars Early Learning Academy is a brand-new childcare centre opened in Traralgon. We are looking for an experienced and VIT registered Early Childhood Teacher. We are also looking for the Nominated Supervisor. Both positions are for immediate start. We are a family-owned centre that is, offering you a more personal approach to your working environment.
At Rising Stars Early Learning Academy, we aim to create safe, loving, and homelike spaces for children, enabling their exploration of identity. Our service provides a creative, safe, and nurturing environment that spark each children’s curiosity and innate desire to learn. As a newly open service we strive to provide harmonious and supportive teams to discover high quality early education for every child.

Key Responsibilities as a Kindergarten Teacher
• Develop and implement age-appropriate learning plans and activities that align with Victorian Early Years Learning Framework.
• Create a stimulating and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity and creativity and making learning enjoyable and interactive.
• Evaluate and monitor each child’s progress through observations, assessments, and transition statements.
• Provide constructive feedback to parents about their child’s development and learning achievements.
• Support the social and emotional well-being of each child.
• Encourage positive behaviours, cooperation and interpersonal skills through group activities and play
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administrators to enhance the overall educational experience.
• Foster a culturally inclusive and sensitive environment, respecting and celebrating diversity.
• Encourage parental involvement in their child’s education through activities, workshops, and volunteer opportunities.
Ideally, candidates should have the following skills and experience:
• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent) with proven experience in a long day care or other early childhood education setting
• VIT and police check (or willing to obtain)
• Current first aid certificates
• Current child protection training

Position Overview: As a Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a childcare centre, ensuring the delivery of high-quality early years education and care. You will lead a team of passionate educators, create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, and establish strong partnerships with families and the local community.

Key Responsibilities as a Nominated Supervisor

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of educators to deliver exceptional early years education and care.
• Develop and implement curriculum and educational programs that promote children's learning and development.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and quality standards.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with families, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.
• Manage administrative tasks, including budgets, rostering, and resource allocation.

Requirements:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field and at least two years of experience in a leadership role.
• Current certification or willingness to obtain certification in First Aid, CPR, and Asthma/Anaphylaxis management.
• Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and quality frameworks (e.g., NQF, EYLF).
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing the best possible care and education for children.
