Located on Sydney harbour in the dress circle of Crown Sydney, Woodcut provides Sydneysiders with a unique dining experience that celebrates Australian produce and cooking with wood, charcoal and steam.
The dining room at Woodcut is anchored by four open kitchens, each centred on their own cooking method and three with their own Kitchen Counter seats where guests have a front row seat to “the show”. Woodcut can seat up to 260 guests and has two Private Dining Rooms, an extensive outdoor terrace with stunning harbour views as well as Hickory Bar which can accommodate 80 guests.
THE ROLE
Seasonal Australian produce is celebrated and is the primary influence on the menu. Dishes are cooked in methods of wood oven, charcoal grills and steam kettles.
We are currently seeking for a passionate Chef de Partie to highlight their skills within our team. This opportunity is for someone with similar experience or who wants to further their career. We are looking for chefs that have an eye for details, maintain high standards and are self-motivated.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Hospitality qualifications and/or 2 to 3 years of employment experience required
- Previous experience at a similar level in a premium dining or high end venue
- Experience cooing with fire
- Self-motivated, professional and passionate
- Appreciate and respect working with Australia’s most exceptional ingredients
- Strong product knowledge
- Great communication and organizational skills along with sound decision making
- Exceptional grooming standards and strong attention to details essential.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster.
- All employees will be required to undergo a police check as part of the onboarding process
