We have a residential position available within our Electrical Maintenance team. This exciting opportunity will see you provide Electrical Engineering support, technical direction and Operational & Capital project delivery within the Copper Smelter and Mines Powers Station Electrical Team. This position will see you working in a multidisciplinary area, working with both technical and trade personnel, as well as continually interacting with contractors and suppliers. Your responsibilities would include, amongst other things:
Provide Technical Support to the Electrical Maintenance Teams
Completing Operational / Capital Electrical Projects
Provide supervision for Electrical Contractors
Electrical Safety & Statutory compliance
Identify and complete Electrical Continuous improvement projects
Supporting supervisors and the management team to achieve maintenance and production targets
Performing initial troubleshooting and root cause analysis on breakdowns
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualification - Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
Experience in an operating process plant environment (minimum of 3 years)
Project Management & Contractor Management skills
Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite including Project, Excel (including Excel VBA), and Word
Safety as a core personal value
The ability to work within an integrated & diverse team at times with challenging deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Highly organised with effective time management skills to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have's:
Knowledge of Yokogawa DCS programming & PLC programming
Arc Flash and Touch Potential calculation experience
Prior experience in similar role - Fixed plant maintenance
Reliability Engineering experience
Thermography Reporting experience
Power Station experience
