The Fifth Province is a busy Irish bar and restaurant currently seeking a passionate and customer focused Restaurant Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
• Develop F&B standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and continuity of service.
• Ensure stock and par levels within F&B outlets are maintained.
• Ensure outlet is set and ready prior to service.
• Assist the team in providing F&B service to guests when required.
• Ensure appropriate cash handling procedures are being followed across the F&B areas.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol requirements are adhered to at all times.
• Working closely with the kitchen team to plan seasonal menus.
• Ensure F&B areas are clean and maintained to a high standard.
• Monitor customer service standards across the F&B outlets.
• Coordinate group bookings and functions.
• Actively suggest F&B improvements and marketing opportunities.
• Ensure staff are appropriately training in monitoring the intoxication levels of patrons and ensure that alcohol is not served to an intoxicated person.
• Develop monthly up-sell programs to increase average pax spend.
• Supervising food and beverage attendants of a lower grade.
• Training food and beverage attendants of a lower grade.
• Ensure staff are performing to standard operating procedures and if not, escalate to the responsible manager.
• Ensure rosters are circulated with 7 days notice and that staff cost is in line with budget.
• Ensure staff are trained in F&B standard operating procedures.
• Participate in training sessions as advised by higher management.
• To attend team meetings as required.
• To actively provide suggestions with other key departments to ensure seamless service.
• To work as part of a team and achieve team outcomes.
• To follow Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.
• To report unsafe practices or situations to the manager on duty immediately.
To be a successful restaurant manager, you may need the following skills and qualifications:
• Relevant hospitality, business or management qualifications are required
• Responsible service of alcohol certification.
• Experience as a Restaurant Manager and sound knowledge of F&B operations.
• Experience using electronic F&B point of sales systems.
• Previous experience in a F&B outlet
• Has great interpersonal skills
• Is able to work autonomously under the direction of a department manager.
• Experience managing a team.
• Is punctual and able to follow instructions.
• Is able to communicate clearly.
• Shares a passion for the hospitality industry.
