The Role
We are seeking for an ESTIMATOR
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, self-directed and high achieving professional. The Estimator will directly report to the Lead Estimator. The work area will predominantly be within the Sydney and surrounding regions.
Selection criteria
Tertiary qualification in related field
Right to work in Australia before applying for the position
Demonstrated estimating experience of at least five years in remedial consulting or contracting, working in Sydney
Experience in estimating commercial/residential projects successfully in the range of $250K - $8M
Demonstrated ability to identify scope of works and present competitive construction projects.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Australian Construction Code and Standards
Exceptional ability to communicate with stakeholders/clients and a wide variety of consultants.
Outstanding written, verbal communication and presentation skills, and an eye for detail
The role includes but not limited to:
Create opportunities for successful tender outcomes
Promote the growth and development of the customer interface
Attend site meetings and prepare timely and accurate tender documentation.
Ensure the accuracy of all quotations through regular review of data and pricing including sourcing of subcontractors and suppliers.
Continuously improve the estimating process and capability via feedback into systems and processes.
Ensure complete visibility of all key result areas through regular reporting
Develop 'best practice' processes; using the latest technology to enable continual improvement.
Attend client meetings presenting tender submissions answering client queries regarding project specific construction activities.
Regular reporting of pipeline progress including business development and sales reviews.
Maintain a full understanding of contract documentation analysing risks and opportunities.
Other duties as identified.
