The Role:

Our Head Office in Melbourne is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant (General) on full-time basis to manage our financial operations reporting to the Owner. This role involves overseeing a variety of accounting tasks to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective financial management. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial data efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Position Competencies:

- Financial Management and Budgeting
- Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Assist students/migrants with financial documentation for visa applications and scholarship management.
- Handle payments to vendors and track payments from students/migrants.
- Manage GST, BAS lodgement, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Process payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with superannuation and entitlements.
- Cost Management and Efficiency.
-Financial Risk Management.
-Legal and Contractual Support.
- Undertaking Audits regularly to prevent fraud and errors.
- Participate in establishing annual budgets, cash flows, and balance sheets. Overview monthly results including reporting on all costs over budget, participate with management to control all costs so as to ensure that we have the highest productivity at the lowest cost.
- Examine the group ownership structure and participate in establishing that the structure is appropriate for the group's future plans.
- Manage client billing for services like education placement and visa consultancy, ensuring accurate fee collection.

Qualification:

- Relevant Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- Excellent use of Word, Excel, outlook, zero and MYOB.
- Proficient English required
Experience Required:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in the preparation of financial statements tax returns and Payroll Management.
• Excellent knowledge of taxation legislation.
• Solid interpersonal skills for communicating concepts.
• Good project and time management skills – ability to handle. multiple priorities and projects, organize work and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative and consultative approach with working with diverse stakeholders from Associates up to Partners.
• Excellent customer service skills

Salary: $70000 - $76000 per year

Availability:

Should be available after hours to interact with our offshore offices regularly.
