We offer a range of cranes such as single and double girder gantry cranes, jib cranes, portal cranes, monorail cranes, and light crane systems, serving construction and industrial sectors.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Thomastown, VIC. The role is vital in ensuring the successful design, development, and deployment of crane systems and hoists tailored to meet client specifications. This position requires hands-on experience in mechanical design, project management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality crane solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical systems for overhead cranes, hoists, and related components in line with industry standards.
Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies to determine the most effective crane systems based on client requirements.
Collaborate with project teams in the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of crane systems.
Provide mechanical expertise in STAHL wire rope and chain hoists, ensuring compliance with Australian safety and engineering regulations.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections, major assessments, and overhauls of crane systems.
Participate in the design and engineering of bespoke, turn-key crane solutions for a range of industrial and construction clients.
Oversee the testing, troubleshooting, and improvement of existing crane systems to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Assist in training operators and support the client with technical guidance on crane operations and safety procedures.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and engineering within the crane, construction, or industrial sectors.
Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools for designing and testing mechanical systems.
Strong understanding of STAHL Crane Systems technology and products, including wire rope hoists and chain hoists.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of Australian mechanical and safety standards relevant to crane systems.
