About the Role:
Atlas Dining, an acclaimed restaurant known for its immersive culinary experiences, is currently seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. As we transform into Atlas Morocco, you will have the opportunity to transport diners on a unique journey through the flavors of North Africa, inspired by the rich fusion of Arab, Berber, and French culinary traditions.
You will be responsible for executing a variety of dishes with our signature focus on fire and smoke, delivering authentic Moroccan flavors while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of Moroccan-inspired dishes, incorporating traditional techniques and ingredients.
Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Perform food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces before service.
Oversee and manage food storage, labeling, and rotation in refrigerators, freezers, and storage rooms.
Work closely with the kitchen team to establish controls aimed at reducing food waste and maintaining efficient supply use.
Contribute to the development of seasonal menus and special dishes, taking inspiration from Morocco’s vibrant culinary heritage.
Ensure consistency in food presentation and quality, with attention to detail on all plates served.
Skills and Attributes:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen best practices.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, especially during service hours.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
A passion for food and a genuine interest in Moroccan and North African cuisine.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, contributing to a positive kitchen environment.
