Tasktrans is engaged with leading poultry suppliers in Victoria, we load live poultry from farms to slaughter houses.

Tasktrans currently require chicken catchers to join our team of skilled and hard-working individuals, based near Geelong
The job entails the successful applicant will be able to herd live birds, have a keen eye for livestock behavior, must be punctual, good communication skills essential. This is a high pace job that demands focus and attention to livestock and crew members. Must be able to work as a team member!
Successful applicants must:
Applicants must be physically fit
Must be willing to travel with a crew of 5 others in vehicle for up to 3 hours per shift
Hold current drivers licence
Must hold full working rights in Australia
Responsibilities include:
Manually pick up chickens and load chickens into transport modules, support crew members during the catching process, Ensure draw counts are as per requirement advised by catching crew leader, follow all safe work procedures, communicate with crew members supervisors and other relevant site personnel. Compliance with all relevant animal welfare legislation, bio-security and other responsibilities, and completion of required paperwork

Shifts vary between 8 - 10 hours, 5 days a week, Sunday to Thursday
Day and night shifts will rotate weekly
Average gross wage per week $1560
